[Congenital heart disease cyanotic children].

Cyanosis is often the only apparent symptom of congenital heart disease for which a child is brought to a physician. Some of the more common anomalies can be diagnosed from this and other symptoms by a general practitioner. Squatting after exertion is a sign of tetralogy of Fallot; severe disability with relatively mild cyanosis may indicate pure pulmonary stenosis.
