It is well evidenced that Early Maladaptive Schemas (EMS) are important mental health determinants, particularly in adolescents and young adults. The short version of the Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ-S3) is widely used globally to assess EMS, and has yet to be validated in the Arabic language. The aim of the current study was to validate the Arabic version of the YSQ-S3 in Arabic-speaking young adults from Lebanon.

The photocatalyst Eosin Y and green light-emitting diodes are utilized for irradiation of R(Ar)-S-R and Ar-Se-R syntheses.

Stasis imaging predicts the risk of cardioembolic events related to acute myocardial infarction: the ISBITAMI study.

Introduction And Objectives: In the setting of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), imaging-based biomarkers could be useful for guiding oral anticoagulation to prevent cardioembolism. Our objective was to test the efficacy of intraventricular blood stasis imaging for predicting a composite primary endpoint of cardioembolic risk during the first 6 months after STEMI.

Methods: We designed a prospective clinical study, Imaging Silent Brain Infarct in Acute Myocardial Infarction (ISBITAMI), including patients with a first STEMI, an ejection fraction ≤ 45% and without atrial fibrillation to assess the performance of stasis metrics to predict cardioembolism.

Methods: The sMuRQoL was completed by 129 patients: 55 cochlear implant (CI) users and 74 normal hearing (NH) individuals. Conducted in this study were an exploratory factor analysis, an evaluation of internal consistency, an assessment of score stability through test-retest reliability, a comparison of sMuRQoL scores between CI users and NH individuals and an examination of potential evidence of convergent validity and discriminative capacity of sMuRQoL in relation to other tools.

Perfluoroalkylation of Triarylamines by EDA Complexes and Ulterior Sensitized [6π]-Electrocyclization to Perfluoroalkylated Endo-Carbazoles. Mechanistic and Photophysical Studies.

Background: Exploring the levels of death anxiety and factors that can undermine its impact are crucial for the Lebanese nationals. Even though studies have shown various relationships between death anxiety and several factors, very few to no research has been done to show the relationship of death anxiety, gratitude and optimism. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) serve important homeostatic functions but must be constantly neutralized by an adaptive antioxidant response to prevent supraphysiological levels of ROS from causing oxidative damage to cellular components. Here, we report that the cellular plasticity transcription factors ZEB1 and ZEB2 modulate in opposing directions the adaptive antioxidant response to fasting in skeletal muscle. Co-active coping is a fundamental construct in organizational and work environments as it allows for the exploration of individual and group behaviors within organizations.
