View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: We sought to evaluate the impact of a COVID-19 Code Blue policy on in-hospital cardiac arrest (IHCA) processes of care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) quality metrics, and survival to hospital discharge.
Methods: We completed a health record review of consecutive IHCA for which resuscitation was attempted. We report Utstein outcomes and CPR quality metrics 33 months before (July,2017-March,2020) and after (April,2020-December,2022) the implementation of a COVID-19 Code Blue policy requiring all team members to don personal protective equipment including gown, gloves, mask, and eye protection for all IHCA.
This systematic review was performed to assess the effectiveness of in situ simulation education. We searched databases including MEDLINE and Embase for studies comparing in situ simulation with other educational approaches. Two reviewers screened articles and extracted information.

This study described the utilization of eConsult by primary care providers to obtain specialist opinion in gynaecologic malignancy screening, with a specific focus on pathology-related inquiries.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional retrospective review of eConsults submitted to obstetrics/gynaecology between September 2011 and December 2016.
Purpose: Multiple new regimens are available for the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). In this context, it is increasingly important to understand the differential costs of regimens used to treat RRMM.
Methods: A treatment journey for RRMM during a 12-month period of therapy was developed to reflect real-world clinical practice based on current treatment guidelines and input from hematologists/oncologists.

Study Objective: Because of the rapid decline in vaginal hysterectomy (VH) cases in recent years, there is concern regarding gynecologic surgical training and proficiency for VH. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of surgical trainee involvement on surgical outcomes in VH cases performed for benign indications.
Design: Retrospective, multicenter, cohort study (Canadian Task Force classification II-2).
Simulation-based educational activities are happening in the clinical environment but are not all uniform in terms of their objectives, delivery, or outputs. While these activities all provide an opportunity for individual and team training, nuances in the location, timing, notification, and participants impact the potential outcomes of these sessions and objectives achieved. In light of this, there are actually many different types of simulation-based activity that occur in the clinical environment, which has previously all been grouped together as "in situ" simulation.
