Article Synopsis
  • Thromboembolic complications are a significant issue in cancer patients, increasing both morbidity and mortality, prompting the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology to establish a registry for better understanding of cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT).
  • The TESEO study is an ongoing, multicentric registry that tracks newly diagnosed thromboembolic events in adult cancer patients, focusing on various health conditions and treatment responses to enhance clinical management of CAT.
  • The registry collects comprehensive data over time, monitoring outcomes like rethrombosis and survival to provide insights on how the prognosis for cancer patients changes based on the timing and context of thrombus occurrences.
