The role of vertical ex vivo dermoscopy relevant to clinical diagnosis has not been investigated yet. Study objectives were defining, describing, and determining the importance of the structures visible using vertical ex vivo dermoscopy in the diagnosis of malignant skin lesions, as well as determining their accuracy in the assessment of tumor margins. A prospective, descriptive study was conducted in two University centers.

Background The role of dermoscopy in distinguishing the histopathological subtypes of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is not fully elucidated. Aims To determine the accuracy of dermoscopy in diagnosing different BCC subtypes. Methods The dermoscopic features of 102 histopathologically verified BCCs were studied retrospectively.

Aluminum pillared clay had the role of a support for catalytically active cobalt oxide species. The degradation of tartrazine and the formation of a mixture of degradation products were monitored using the Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

Statistical analysis of data from crystal structures extracted from the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) has shown that S and Se atoms display a similar tendency towards specific types of interaction if they are part of a fragment that corresponds to the side chains of cysteine (Cys), methionine (Met) selenocysteine (Sec) and selenomethionine (Mse). The most numerous are structures with C-H..

Background And Objectives: Skin lesions with blue color are frequently excised to rule out malignancy. The objective of the present study was to investigate the significance of blue color.
Methods: We retrospectively scanned dermatoscopic images for blue color and classified them according to pattern analysis.

Background: The effect of size on diagnostic performance of dermoscopy in basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) is yet to be determined.
Objectives: To investigate the differences in dermoscopic features between small- and large-sized BCCs.
Methods: A total of 151 BCCs consecutively collected during a 2-year period were analysed.

Background: Many different phenotypic presentations of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) are possible.
Objective: This study aims to highlight the similarities and differences in dermoscopic features between different morphologic types of BCC.
Methods: A prospective observational study was performed using contact polarized dermoscopy to evaluate the presence of various dermoscopic features.
Background: Early detection of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is of crucial importance, as serious morbidity may result from undiagnosed tumor.
Objective: To evaluate diagnostic significance (specificity, sensitivity, positive and negative predictive value) of dermoscopic features in BCCs.
Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted using contact polarized dermoscopy to evaluate the presence of various dermoscopic features.

We studied the hemodynamic response to intravenous nitroglycerin (NTG) in 40 patients with and without acute heart failure (hemodynamic subsets I-IV) during acute myocardial infarction. Hemodynamic measurements were performed by right heart catheterization. The results showed that NTG response influenced mainly the preload and to a lesser extent the afterload, however these changes were dependent on initial hemodynamic status.

Both drugs were given over 30 min in every patient, and the stability of the condition of the patient was checked by administering the initial drug again. Measurements were made by right heart catheterization using a balloon tip thermodilution catheter and a catheter in the radial artery.
