Colonic lipomas are rare benign submucosal tumors that are mostly asymptomatic. With increasing size, they may develop symptoms and complications. The acute presentation may be intestinal obstruction secondary to intussusception or gastrointestinal bleeding.

Two outbursts were captured and are reported here. Although no physiologic parameter measured by the wristband gave advance warning, there is a common pattern of parasympathetic withdrawal (increased heart rate) followed approximately 30 seconds later by sympathetic activation (increased skin conductance).

However, whether craving drives breakdowns in cognitive control toward cocaine cues in veterans, who experience significantly more co-occurring mood disorders, is unknown. The present study tests whether veterans have breakdowns in cognitive control because of cue-elicited craving or current anxiety or depression symptoms.

They also argued that Barry's Preliminary Process Theory (PPT) explains the patterns of physiological reactions that occur during polygraph examinations. There is ample empirical evidence that the CQT and CIT produce similar physiological effects.

It is debated whether this report reflects enhanced memory accuracy or a bias to believe emotional memories are vivid. We hypothesized emotion would enhance memory accuracy, improving memory for contextual details.

Traditional concealed information paradigms rely on the idea that stimuli that are meaningful to a person (critical items) will draw attentional resources disproportionately, relative to stimuli that are not (irrelevant items), generating detectable differences on a suitable dependent variable (behavioral, psychophysiological, or neural). Here, we introduce a behavioral paradigm that could be used to reveal concealed information by exploiting the link between concealed information and attentional processes more directly. This novel paradigm is based on the attentional blink phenomenon in which detection of a stimulus reduces detection accuracy rates of subsequent target stimuli within a 200-500 ms time window.
