This study investigates the removal of ibuprofen and diclofenac from aqueous media via a fully pressurized dissolved air flotation system, enhanced by fenugreek-derived saponin, a plant-based biosurfactant. The use of fenugreek saponin in flotation processes distinguishes this work from previous studies as it offers an ecofriendly and efficient alternative to chemical surfactants. The biosurfactant's surface-active properties were confirmed through FT-IR, UV-vis spectroscopy identified key functional groups and structural characteristics of the saponin, NMR provided molecular insights into its bioactive components, and surface tension analyses demonstrated its ability to reduce interfacial tension, indicating effective surfactant behavior.

Treatment with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) in muscle invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) is associated with clinical benefit in urothelial carcinoma. While extensive research evaluating role of tumor mutational expression profiles and clinicopathologic factors into chemoresponse has been published, the role of gut microbiome (GM) in bladder cancer in chemoresponse has not been thoroughly evaluated. A working knowledge of the microbiome and its effect on all forms of cancer therapy in BC is critical.

In the current research work, the activated carbon synthesized from the plant species Delonix regia is doped with iron oxide nanoparticles and enforced as a nanosorbent for the effective extermination of Tartrazine (TAR) and Methylene blue (MB) dyes. This nanosorbent is prepared from the bark powder of the Delonix regia and subjected to chemical activation; Furthermore, the synthesized biosorbent were characterized using FTIR, SEM, TGA, and XRD to understand their functional properties and structural morphology. The optimum effectiveness adsorption of Tartrazine and Methylene blue has been investigated by using different key parameters.

In this research, an amine-functionalized magnetic silica nanosorbent was prepared using the co-precipitation technique, and this nanosorbent can be effortlessly detached using an external magnetic field. FTIR and SEM analyses identified that the nanosorbent holds extraordinary adsorption characteristics for toxic metals' (copper, cadmium, zinc, and nickel) removal. The adsorption-affecting parameters were optimized, and the thermodynamic studies assessed that the adsorption process seemed to be spontaneous, feasible, and exothermic.

A community-based, cross-sectional study was conducted among 202 children aged 1-5 years residing in an urban slum to study the extent of malnutrition and its association with common childhood illness(es). The participants were selected using convenient sampling (nonprobability), and the appropriate respondents were interviewed using a structured, semi-open-ended, pretested, interviewer-administered questionnaire. The prevalence of undernutrition (weight for age), stunting (height for age), and wasting (weight for height) were calculated at the cutoff level of ≤2 standard deviation (-score <-2) of the National Centre for Health Statistics (NCHS) reference median values.
