High resistance to antiretroviral drugs: the Indian experience.

Effective antiretroviral treatment (ART) has significantly reduced the morbidity and mortality among people living with HIV/AIDS. The emergence of drug resistance is the major obstacle to the successful implementation of long-term treatment strategy of HIV disease. Hence, monitoring the resistance to ART is an essential task.
