Recently, coagulasonegative staphylococci (CoNS), which are representatives of opportunistic microorganisms of the microbiome of the skin and mucous membranes of healthy people, have made a certain contribution to its progression. For a long time, they did not pose a threat to patients, but in recent decades among microorganisms they have been seeded in more than two-thirds of patients with postoperative mediastinitis, catheter-associated infections, as well as from wounds of the neck vessels and the inguinal region separated by pacemaker beds.

[Clinical cases of complicated diverticulitis against the background of severe course COVID-19. Case report].

It emphasizes the role of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), primarily rhinovirus infections (RVI) as the most important triggers of COPD exacerbations and the causes of their severe and long-term course. Particular attention is given to ARVI-induced secondary bacterial infections that worsen COPD exacerbations.

[Immunomodulators in therapy for chronic virus hepatitis C].

The authors present the results of their investigations of clinical and immunological characteristics in chronic viral hepatitis C (CVHC). Cellular and humoral immunological parameters and cytokine profile, including the interferon status, were studied in relation to the activity of the process. Statistically significant clinical laboratory and immunological differences were found in patients (CVHC) receiving various treatment options.

Modulation of reparative regeneration and CD117 expression by liver cells after partial hepatectomy in mice.

The effects of 3-aminophthalhydrazide and carrageenan on reparative regeneration and expression of CD117 by liver cells after partial hepatectomy were studied in mice. 3-Aminophthalhydrazide stimulated regeneration of the liver and increased the count of CD117(+) hepatocytes. By contrast, carrageenan inhibited liver reparation and CD117 expression.
