Nanocrystalline cerium dioxide is able to protect living cells from oxidative stress under the influence of various stress factors, in particular under the one of low temperatures. This study investigates the phase-structural transformations in aqueous solutions containing CeO nanoparticles (NPs) and their impact on the cryopreservation process. Differential scanning calorimetry and thermomechanical analysis were used to analyse the phase transitions in aqueous suspensions of CeO NPs and aqueous solutions of the cryoprotectant dimethyl sulfoxide (MeSO) with CeO NPs.

Functional transcranial dopplerography (FTCD) is a non-invasive ultrasound examination that allows recording the dynamics of cerebral blood flow parameters under conditions of factors stimulated the activity of the structures of the central nervous system. Judgments about the sensitivity and specificity of FTCD are based on the close connection between changes in the activity of the nervous (somatic) system and the response of regional cerebral blood flow (CBF). The technique is a portable and accessible diagnostic method used in assessing the possibility of expanding functional activity during the recovery period after a stroke.

Contamination of foods with mineral oil hydrocarbons, particularly mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH), can potentially pose a health hazard to consumers. However, identifying toxic substances among the many thousands of compounds comprising mineral oils in food samples is a difficult analytical challenge. Dyad compound bearing 1,8-naphthalimide (NI) and styrylpyridine (SP) photoactive units, in which the N-phenylazadithia-15-crown-5 ether receptor is linked with the energy donor naphthalimide chromophore, has been evaluated as a ratiometric fluorescent chemosensor for mercury (II) ions in living cells. In an aqueous solution, selectively responds to the presence of Hg via the enhancement in the emission intensity of NI due to the inhibition of the photoinduced electron transfer from the receptor to the NI fragment. At the same time, the long wavelength fluorescence band of SP, arising as a result of resonance energy transfer from the excited NI unit, appears to be virtually unchanged upon Hg binding.

The thermostable endo-processive xyloglucanase MtXgh74 from Myceliophthora thermophila was used to study the influence of aromatic amino acids in the catalytic cleft on the mode of action and the ability of enzyme to reduce xyloglucan viscosity. In the present work crude extract (ABE) has been prepared and characterized by its tyrosinase activity, protein composition and substrate specificity. The presence of mushroom tyrosinase (PPO3) in ABE has been confirmed using two-dimensional electrophoresis, followed by MALDI TOF/TOF MS-based analysis. GH27 alpha-glucosidases, GH47 alpha-mannosidases, GH20 hexosaminidases, and alkaline phosphatases have been also detected in ABE.

This article presents a dataset for calculating the index of inclusive growth in the regions of the Russian Federation, estimated on key and institutional foundations of the performance of inclusive development. The authors of the research used the methodology of the World Economic Bank and the World Economic Forum, based on a comparative analysis of key and institutional indicators of the performance of territorial entities, which they adapted to the socio-economic features of the regional division of Russia. For the purpose of formation of a dataset was executed assessment of the inclusive growth index for 26 regions of the Russian Federation, it allowed to define the strengths and weaknesses of the inclusive development of each region of the Russian Federation.

This article is devoted to the application of the up-to-date technologies for the treatment and rehabilitation of the children presenting with juvenile cerebral palsy (JCP). It is shown that the use of computer classes, play therapy toys, and robotic exercise machines collectively make up a promising tool for the correction of limb movements in the JCP patients. Lessons with the use of modified technical devices make it possible to develop the creative capacities of the children, improve memory, attention, coordination and precision of the movements of their extremities.
