  • The study examined 110 lung cancer patients to explore the link between lung cancer type and symptoms of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
  • It found that patients with adenocarcinoma were more likely to have normal lung function (FEV1%VC over 70) compared to those with small cell or squamous lung cancer.
  • Additionally, those with better lung function showed less severe COPD symptoms and higher oxygen levels, while there was no connection between lung cancer type and symptoms of bronchitis or emphysema.
