The in vitro influence of external electrostatic fields with 200 kV/m tension on the biophysical parameters of the erythrocyte membranes and their ghosts of white outbred rats was studied. The investigation on the parameters of erythrocyte membranes and their ghosts, particularly, their microviscosity, the amount and degree of membrane proteins submersion in lipids, polarity in depth of the membrane bilayer and its viscositywas carried out by the spectrofluorimeteric method using pyrene as a hydrophobic fluorescent probe. The analyses of literature data, findings of the current study and their comparison with the results of our previous works allow of concluding that the in vitro influence of external electrostatic fields with 200 kV/m tension on the erythrocyte membranes and their ghosts occurs at different sites of membrane.

The detection of biomarkers to be applied to reveal different types of tumors is an actual demand of today. Since course of this disease can be asymptomatic these kinds of markers can be applied in widely-distributed screening procedures. Many types of biomarkers for detection of cancer exist.

Enteral insufficiency is considered to trigger the syndrome of endogenous intoxication and, further, multiple organ failure. Enteral insufficiency often accompanies postoperative septic complications, such as peritonitis. Morphologic changes of the intestinal wall by septic peritonitis consisted of edema, fibrinous degradation of muscular layer and dystrophy of local nervous pathways.

Inflammatory reaction is always accompanied by increased intensity of free-radical oxidation, especially when the phenomena of hypoxia and microcirculatory disorders that occur during the development of side-effects of acrylic removable dentures. This study determined the effectiveness of adaptogens, antioxidants in the complex treatment of diseases of tissues prosthetic field and their influence on the processes of LPO in whole mixed unstimulated saliva. Formed in the reaction to initiate the process of oxygen radicals (OH, RO, O(2)), initiate the formation of lipid peroxide radicals RO(2) biological substrate, the recombination of which leads to the emergence of unsustainable tetroxids, which decays with the release of light quanta.

Optimal parameters of electro thermal influence on nickel-titanium wires for giving them new shape (bends) without losing basic physical properties - shape memory, elasticity are determined in terms of clinic. It is confirmed that by thermal influence of electric current on nickel-titanium wires it's possible to achieve new shape without changing the parameters of elasticity. Optimal parameters of continuous current intensity (strength) and interaction time are determined for: Nitinol 0.

Aim of this study is to give theoretical substantiation of magnitude of arch wire diameter decrease in area of adjacent teeth for reducing undesirable reciprocal deflections by redistribution of the force on more teeth during making torsion bends on rectangular orthodontic arch wires for correction of vestibulolingual position of individual teeth. By means of mathematical analysis, was determined relationship between the angle of tooth inclination and the radius of orthodontic arch wire overcast, which will allow managing moments that affect adjacent teeth.

Kinetics of TBARS accumulation, Fe2+ oxidation, and chemiluminescence were measured in nuclear and mitochondrial membrane suspensions during Fe(2+)-induced lipid peroxidation development. Above certain critical Fe2+ concentrations ([Fe2+].) the latent period (t) of lipid peroxidation development were observed.

The gene transfer into plants using the genetic engineering methods gives us the possibility to obtain transgeneric plants having acquired the new traits. Some bacterial genes can be used for this purpose. Obtaining of a transgeneric plant harbouring the cytokinin synthesis gene ipt (gene 4) from the T-DNA of Agrobacterium tumefaciens Ti-plasmid seems to be useful.

Superoxide dismutase from erythrocytes and ceruloplasmin of serum inhibit the oxidation of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine solubilized by cholate. Both enzymes also inhibit the oxidation of liposomes prepared from phosphatidylcholine. Ceruloplasmin as a lipid peroxidation inhibitor, is by two orders of magnitude less effective than superoxide dismutase.

The effects of cyanide, thiocyanide, azide, nitrite, nitrate, ferricyanide, persulfate, sulfide and halogenides on the intensities of the EPR spectrum and the band of 825 nm of cardiac cutochrome oxidase were studied. It was shown that according to their action on the copper the anions may be classified into three groups: 1) anions inducing the reduction of the copper (CN-, CNS-, S2-) anions changing the environment of the copper (N3-, NO2-); 3) anions slightly interacting with the copper (NO3-, halogenides). The incubation of cytochrome oxidase with ferricyanide led to the formation of a free-radical component without causing any pronounced changes in the copper environment; however, treatment of the protein with persulfate was accompanied by an irreversible modification of the copper EPR spectrum.
