[Current methods of detection and localization of vagal chemodectomas].

The modern methods of diagnosis were analysed in 19 patients with chemodectoma of vagal glomus verified surgically and morphologically. The cytological investigation of the tumour punctates was made in 9 patients, ultrasonic introscopy in 2, computer tomography in 13 and arteriography in 17 patients. The informativeness of cytological and ultrasonic studies is low, whereas computer tomography and carotid arteriography are regarded as the method of choice for diagnosis and assessment of vagal chemodectoma prevalence.

[Multicentric cancer of the breast].

Multicentric breast carcinoma was identified in 3.7% of 119 patients operated on at the Center Clinics. A slow growth, small size of tumors and infrequent lesions in the regional lymph nodes were registered.
