Location-based disparities in cardiovascular health are multifaceted and deeply intertwined with historical, environmental, socioeconomic, and healthcare access factors. This scoping review explores the associations between residential locations and cardiovascular disease (CVD). We reviewed articles that describe environmental influences, socioeconomic determinants, healthcare access challenges, and societal influences in the location-specific development of CVD.

The multiple and recent developments in its pathophysiological knowledge and in its therapy require updating and, therefore, in this article the Spanish scientific societies most involved in its study and treatment (SEN, SEMFYC and SEMERGEN), together with the Association Spanish Association for Patients with Migraine and other Headaches (AEMICE), we have developed these updated care recommendations. We reviewed the treatment of migraine attacks, which consisted mainly of the use of NSAIDs and triptans, to which ditans and gepants have been added.

The secondary aim was to determine the prognostic role of CT-CPLNs in overall survival (OS).
Material And Methods: A single-center, retrospective, population-based study was conducted of patients who underwent surgery for AOC from January 1, 2014-December 31, 2018.

The international pediatric oncology community has a long history of research collaboration. In the United States, the 2019 launch of the Children's Cancer Data Initiative puts the focus on developing a rich and robust data ecosystem for pediatric oncology. In this spirit, we present here our experience in constructing the Pediatric Cancer Data Commons (PCDC) to highlight the significance of this effort in fighting pediatric cancer and improving outcomes and to provide essential information to those creating resources in other disease areas.

The UK NF2 Genetic Severity Score (GSS) is useful to predict the progression of the disease from germline pathogenic variants, which allows the clinical follow-up and the genetic counselling offered to affected families to be optimised.
Methods: 52 Spanish patients were classified using the GSS, and patients' clinical severity was measured and compared between GSS groups.
Introduction: HPV-driven oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) patients have a better prognosis than their HPV-negative counterparts but several studies have suggested that among HPV-positive patients those with a smoking history had worse oncological outcomes. The aim of our study is to characterize the interplay between tobacco consumption, patient and disease characteristics, and disease control.
Materials And Methods: All patients diagnosed with HPV-driven OPC and treated with curative intent between 2007 and 2009 and 2011-2016 at Gustave Roussy cancer center were included (n = 282).
Importance: Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is a devastating genetic condition characterized by the development of multiple tumors of the nervous system. An early diagnosis of individuals with NF2 would facilitate treatment and reduction of disease impact because most severe effects of the disease do not usually develop before adolescence. Little attention has traditionally been paid to dermatological signs in NF2.

Trends regarding indications, approach (open, laparoscopic, thoracoscopic), sac excision, mesh placement, and routine performance of fundoplication have changed over time. Today, most surgeons tend to perform a laparoscopic PEH repair that entails the excision of the sac, liberal use of a mesh to buttress the hiatus, and the addition of an anti-reflux procedure.

Background: Imaging has a critical impact on surgical decision making and three-dimensional (3D) digital models of patient pathology can now be made commercially. We developed a 3D digital model of a cancer of the head of the pancreas by integrating actual CT data with 3D modeling process. After this process, the virtual pancreatic model was also produced using a high-quality 3D printer.

In addition, data about the pathophysiology of the hernias are scant. Therefore, the goal of this review is to shed light and describe the classification, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and indications for treatment of PEHs, and provide an overview of the surgical management and a description of the technical principles of the repair.

Intralymphatic lymphohistiocytic aggregates are relatively common, and include benign, malignant and indeterminate conditions. In contrast, all non-endothelial proliferations in the lumina of blood vessels have been interpreted so far as malignant.

This research determines the concentrations of various phthalates in French wines and grape spirits marketed in Europe or intended for export. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) were the most frequently detected compounds in the wines analysed. While only 15% of the samples examined contained quantifiable concentrations (> 0.

Treatment with imatinib is generally well tolerated, but some cutaneous adverse events (AEs), such as exanthematous papular eruptions and Stevens-Johnson syndrome have been reported. We report a case of a pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP)-like eruption associated with this drug.

Objectives: To study the effectiveness and safety of psoralen-UV-A (PUVA) therapy in palmoplantar psoriasis and investigate predictors of clinical response.
Objectives: Scant evidence is available on effects of air pollution on longitudinally measured fetal biometry, and thus it remains unclear as to whether there are critical windows of exposure or specificity of effects. Our objective was to examine the association between exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) during pregnancy and fetal and neonatal anthropometry in a cohort of Spanish women.
Methods: Temporally adjusted land-use regression was used to estimate exposure to NO2 at home addresses.
Background: In utero tobacco exposure has been associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes but few studies have used longitudinal ultrasound measurements to asses the effects on fetal growth. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of active and passive smoking during pregnancy on fetal biometry in a cohort of Spanish women.
Methods: Biparietal diameter (BPD), abdominal circumference (AC), femur length (FL) and estimated fetal weight (EFW) were evaluated in each trimester of pregnancy.
Introduction: Transient ischaemic attack (TIA) patients often report that Primary Care physicians (PCPs) and nurses are their main medical contacts after onset of symptoms in our health area. There are few studies on the knowledge and management of TIA among Community and Family Medicine professionals.
Material And Methods: Our aim was to study the current knowledge and practice in the management of TIA patients among Primary Care physicians and nurses.
