The present paper reports on 7 cases of primary infections, pyelonephritis and pyelocystitis, in which acrids were found in the urine during acute attacks. The cases were detected in the clinical laboratory of a county Hospital. All the 7 patients, ranging in age from 6 to 60 years, exhibited characteristic symptoms of pyelonephritis and pyelocystitis.

The present paper reports on an acute febrile attack in a patient suffering from chronic non-lithiasis cholecystitis. Acarids and acarid eggs in various stages of development were found in bile B following duodenal intubation in the course of the attack. The administration of magnesium sulphate was followed by abundant biliary vomiting.
