This review provides insights into mapping and ablation strategies for VT, offering a comprehensive overview of contemporary approaches and future perspectives in the field. The strengths and limitations of classical mapping strategies, namely activation mapping, pace mapping, entrainment mapping, and substrate mapping, are deeply discussed. The increasing pivotal relevance of CMR and MDCT in substrate definition is highlighted, particularly in defining the border zone, tissue channels, and fat.

Studies have shown promising results for ranolazine in treating both atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias, particularly when used in combination with other medications. This review explores ranolazine's mechanisms of action and its potential role in cardiac arrhythmias treatment in light of previous clinical studies.

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) is related to BC risk due to its ability to bind circulating estradiol at high affinity and to regulate estradiol action. A study protocol is presented based on the assessment of the effect of different interventions such as tamoxifen at 10 mg every other day (LDT), intermittent caloric restriction (ICR) two days per week, lifestyle intervention (LI, step counter use) and their combination on the modulation of SHBG and several other biomarkers associated to BC.

This study aimed to characterise the composition of volatile compounds and describe the sensory profile of Tuscan bee pollens collected in two different areas in the same period and stored for six months under different conditions. The headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) analyses of volatile compounds showed that non-terpene derivatives represented the predominant chemical class in all examined samples, among which aldehydes were the main compounds.

The comparative efficacy of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and Impella in managing CS-AMI remains a subject of investigation.
Objective: This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the comparative effectiveness of Impella and IABP in managing CS-AMI, exploring mortality and adverse events.
Objectives: To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies investigating the diagnostic value of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) features for arrhythmic risk stratification in mitral valve prolapse (MVP) patients.
Materials And Methods: EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, and CENTRAL were searched for studies reporting MVP patients who underwent CMR with assessment of: left ventricular (LV) size and function, mitral regurgitation (MR), prolapse distance, mitral annular disjunction (MAD), curling, late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), and T1 mapping, and reported the association with arrhythmia. The primary endpoint was complex ventricular arrhythmias (co-VAs) as defined by any non-sustained ventricular tachycardia, sustained ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, or aborted sudden cardiac death.
In the circular economy framework, hydrosols, by-products of the essential oil industry, are gaining attention for their potential in waste reduction and resource reuse. This study analyzed hydrosols from six edible flowers, investigating their chemical composition (VOC-Hyd) and antibacterial properties alongside volatile organic compounds of fresh flowers (VOC-Fs) and essential oils (EOs). exhibited ketones as major VOC-Fs (62.

Pleasant sensory features are essential for consumer acceptance. In this work, we investigated the composition of the bioactive compounds, antioxidant activity, and aroma profiles of four edible flowers: Duchesne, L.

Introduction: Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) is a common clinical condition in the general population. A subgroup of patients with MVP may experience ventricular arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death ("arrhythmic mitral valve prolapse" [AMVP]) but how to stratify arrhythmic risk is still unclear. Our meta-analysis aims to identify predictive factors for arrhythmic risk in patients with MVP.

Nevertheless, a clear overview of the percentage of freedom from AF over time and complications is lacking. Therefore, we conducted a -analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing CA versus AAD.

(henna) plants. Young henna plants were cultivated for two months in a growth chamber (GC) and in open-air conditions during summer under the Mediterranean climate (OF), and leaves were analysed to evaluate their adaptive responses.

The Sacubitril/Valsartan (S/V), the first angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI), significantly reduced both HF hospitalization and cardiovascular mortality.
Aim Of The Study: to evaluate the effect of S/V in a follow-up period of 5 years from the beginning of the therapy.
In the last years, special attention has been given to the nutritional properties of food, and the edible flowers (EFs) represent an uncommon fresh product to characterise, with the aim to explore new species with peculiar aesthetic and the aromatic features. This work investigated some nutritional properties of eight new EFs, such as A.DC.

Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis aiming to compare the success and complications of LBBAP versus HBP.
Methods: We systematically searched the electronic databases for studies published from inception to March 22, 2023, and focusing on LBBAP versus HBP.

Aims: To summarize the totality of evidence validating the Predicting Bleeding Complications in Patients Undergoing Stent Implantation and Subsequent Dual Antiplatelet Therapy (PRECISE-DAPT) score, ascertaining its aggregate discrimination and validation power in multiple population subsets.
Methods And Results: We searched electronic databases from 2017 (PRECISE-DAPT proposal) up to March 2023 for studies that reported the occurrence of out-of-hospital bleedings according to the PRECISE-DAPT score in patients receiving DAPT following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Pooled odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) were used as summary statistics and were calculated using a random-effects model.
High-power short-duration (HPSD) ablation is an increasingly used ablation strategy for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) procedures, but Lesion Index (LSI)-guided HPSD radiofrequency (RF) applications have not been described in this clinical setting. We evaluated the procedural efficiency and safety of an LSI-guided HPSD strategy for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Paroxysmal and persistent AF patients scheduled for AF ablation were prospectively enrolled and divided into two groups, according to the ablation power used (≥45 W for the LSI-HP Group and ≤40 W for the LSI-LP group).

Nonetheless, it is still debated which of the two techniques has a better safety and efficacy profile.
Methods: We systematically searched Medline, Embase, and Cochrane electronic databases up to September 5, 2022, for studies that evaluated the efficacy and safety of AVP and CVC reporting at least one clinical outcome of interest.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia in adults. The left atrial appendage (LAA) is the most likely source of thrombus formation in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF). Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) represents an effective alternative to NOAC in patients with NVAF.
