Methods: A total of 43 MS patients (27 RRMS, 16 SPMS) and 25 matched healthy controls (HC) underwent clinical assessments, RMEt, and a high-resolution T1-weighted 3-T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan.

Objectives: To apply advanced diffusion MRI methods to the study of normal-appearing brain tissue in MS and examine their correlation with measures of clinical disability.
Methods: A multi-compartment model of diffusion MRI called neurite orientation dispersion and density imaging (NODDI) was used to study 20 patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS), 15 with secondary progressive MS (SPMS), and 20 healthy controls. Maps of NODDI were analyzed voxel-wise to assess the presence of abnormalities within the normal-appearing brain tissue and the association with disease severity.
Background: Possible cardiotoxicity of sofosbuvir in humans has not been demonstrated yet. Also, since HCV can exert deleterious effects on hearth function, it is of interest to know whether HCV eradication provides any benefits using global longitudinal strain (GLS), a measure of left ventricular function more reliable than ejection fraction (EF).
Methods: Patients eligible for treatment with the combination therapy for HCV were invited to perform a transthoracic cardiac ultrasound at four different time points: before starting treatment, after one month, at the end of treatment and, after six month.
Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a severe neurodegenerative disease still lacking of alleviating treatments for either cognitive or motor disturbances. Aimed at widening the spectrum of therapeutic options, here, we describe efficacy and safety of a long-term treatment with Rotigotine, a non-ergolinic dopamine agonist, in PSP. The anti-CD52 monoclonal antibody alemtuzumab is a highly active treatment for multiple sclerosis (MS) causing rapid depletion of B and T lymphocytes with nadir one month after last infusion. Opportunistic Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections have been reported in MS patients treated with this drug. We report one patient who developed a CMV reactivation with hepatic involvement three weeks after the first cycle of alemtuzumab.
