We demonstrate the first successful stabilization of a dissipative soliton resonance (DSR) mode-locked (ML) laser source using straightforward techniques. Our setup employed a figure-8 (F8) resonator configuration and a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) to achieve stable mode-locking, generating 1064 nm rectangular pulses with a 3 ns duration at a repetition frequency of ~ 1 MHz. The pulses were boosted in an all-fiber amplifier chain and reached 30 µJ and 10 kW peak power per pulse at 30 W average output power.

Frequency-selective surfaces (FSS) are two-dimensional geometric structures made of conductive materials that selectively transmit or reflect electromagnetic waves. In this paper, flexible FSS made on textile and film substrates is presented and compared to show the effect of the texture associated with the type of substrate on the shielding properties. Three geometries of patterns of squares in the border, inversion of squares in the border, and circles with a border were used, and the patterns were made by the silver paste screen printing technique.

In this paper, the combination of using an anti-resonant hollow-core fiber (ARHCF), working as a gas absorption cell, and an inexpensive, commercially available watch quartz tuning fork (QTF), acting as a detector in the quartz-enhanced photothermal spectroscopy (QEPTS) sensor configuration is demonstrated. The proof-of-concept experiment involved the detection of methane (CH) at 1651 nm (6057 cm). The advantage of the high QTF Q-factor combined with a specially designed low-noise amplifier and additional wavelength modulation spectroscopy with the second harmonic (2f-WMS) method of signal analysis, resulted in achieving a normalized noise-equivalent absorption (NNEA) at the level of 1.
