Senescent chondrocytes or signaling mechanisms leading to senescence are promising new therapeutic approaches for ameliorating cartilage degradation. Herein, we show that the transactive response DNA/RNA-binding protein (TDP-43) regulates chondrocyte senescence and ameliorates cartilage degradation.
