Brazil, one of the world's largest agricultural producers and consumers of pesticides, has expanded its agricultural area in the southern region of Mato Grosso do Sul, intensifying environmental contamination and increasing the vulnerability of indigenous populations. This research assessed the presence of pesticides in the waters of two indigenous communities in MS, Retomada Guyraroká and Aldeia Jaguapiru. Between 2021 and 2022, three sampling campaigns of surface, supply, and rainwater were conducted, considering the agricultural calendar.

Introduction: Bovine tuberculosis is one of the primary infectious diseases affecting cattle. Although several countries have managed to eradicate this zoonosis it remains endemic and uncontrolled across many countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Background: Most viral genome sequences generated during the latest pandemic have presented new challenges for computational analysis. Analyzing millions of viral genomes in multi-FASTA format is computationally demanding, especially when using alignment-based methods. Most existing methods are not designed to handle such large datasets, often requiring the analysis to be divided into smaller parts to obtain results using available computational resources.

Introduction And Objectives: Periprosthetic hip fractures show increasing incidence and complexity, representing a challenge for the surgeon. We aimed to evaluate the survival of uncemented modular tapered stems in the treatment of periprosthetic Vancouver B2 and B3 type fractures and review the main complications and factors associated with decreased survival.

Materials And Methods: We performed a retrospective study of patients submitted to revision arthroplasty for treatment of periprosthetic femoral stem Vancouver B2 and B3 type fractures with an uncemented modular fluted tapered stem (MRP-Titan).

Traumatic Spondylolisthesis of L5-S1 in a Pediatric Age: A Rarely Described Injury.

In this article, we aim to present the case of a five-year-old child with traumatic spondylolisthesis of L5-S1 associated with a sacral fracture, manifesting as a spinopelvic dissociation. The goal of surgical treatment is to reduce the deformity and provide posterior fixation to restore the sagittal alignment of the lumbosacral junction. One-year follow-up showed good clinical and radiological outcomes.

Several studies suggested the presence of non-motor symptoms in Essential Tremor (ET), including REM sleep behavioral disorder (RBD). A network correspondence toolbox for quantitative evaluation of novel neuroimaging results.

Decades of neuroscience research has shown that macroscale brain dynamics can be reliably decomposed into a subset of large-scale functional networks, but the specific spatial topographies of these networks and the names used to describe them can vary across studies. Such discordance has hampered interpretation and convergence of research findings across the field. To address this problem, we have developed the Network Correspondence Toolbox (NCT) to permit researchers to examine and report spatial correspondence between their novel neuroimaging results and sixteen widely used functional brain atlases, consistent with recommended reporting standards developed by the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.

Objectives: Under optimal conditions, afferent and efferent human skin graft microcirculation can be restored 8-12 days postgrafting. Still, the evidence about the reperfusion dynamics beyond this period in a dermato-oncologic setting is scant. We aimed to characterise the reperfusion of human skin grafts over 4 weeks according to the necrosis extension (less than 20%, or 20%-50%) and anatomic location using laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI).

Here, we present the inclusion of task data from both naturalistic stimuli and trial-based designs, to uncover structures of brain activation.

Purpose: Lumbar degenerative disease is frequent and has a tremendous impact on patients' disability and quality-of-life. Open and minimally invasive procedures have been used to achieve adequate decompression and fusion.

Initial Validation of the Coach-Athlete Relationship Questionnaire in a Sample of Portuguese Athletes.

Our primary objectives in this study were to translate and provide psychometric support for the Coach Athlete Relationship Questionnaire (CART-Q) Portuguese version, assess its invariance across sex, and explore its nomological validity in relation to enjoyment. Our sample participants were 470 athletes (226 females, 244 males) aged between 16 to 39 years from various individual and team sports. We found that the translated Portuguese version of the CART-Q exhibited satisfactory test-retest reliability and can serve as a reliable tool for evaluating the core constructs of the coach-athlete relationship - closeness, commitment, and complementarity.
