Aims: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is characterized by unexplained left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) with key pathologic processes including myocardial necrosis, fibrosis, inflammation, and hypertrophy, which are involved in heart failure (HF), stroke, and even sudden death. Our aim was to explore the communication network among various cells in the heart of transverse aortic constriction (TAC) surgery induced HCM mice.
Materials And Methods: Single-cell RNA-seq data of GSE137167 was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database.
Nitrogen doping effectively improves the adsorption properties of activated carbons towards volatile organic compounds (VOCs); however, the role of nitrogen elements with various chemical valence states need further evaluation. In this work, waste polyester fabrics were used as a low-cost source to prepare activated carbon, and melamine, pyridine, dimethylamine, and pyrrole were selected as nitrogen sources to compare their nitrogen-doping ability. The adsorption of low-concentration benzene and ethyl acetate on the resultant carbons and the effects of nitrogen, including its valence states and contents, were investigated.

We identified an orphan receptor that can suppress the activity of CREB, nuclear receptor sub-family 6, group A, member 1 (NR6A1), in mouse brain neurons. Given the critical role of the impaired CREB-BDNF signaling in depression, we speculate that the neuronal NR6A1 may mediate the pathogenesis of depression.

Reticulocalbin 3 (Rcn3) is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER) lumen protein localized to the secretory pathway. We have reported that Rcn3 plays a critical role in alveolar epithelial type II cell maturation during perinatal lung development, but its biological role in the adult lung is largely unknown.
