Article Synopsis
  • Twenty-seven participants completed typing tasks using different styles, including right-hand holding and two-hand typing at various heights.
  • Results showed that the right-hand holding (S-thumb) style led to the slowest typing speed and increased muscle activity in the right upper limb muscles.
  • Holding the phone at high or low positions reduced neck and elbow flexion but increased muscle strain in the right trapezius compared to typing at chest level.
