Regeneration of orofacial bone defects caused by inflammatory-related diseases or trauma remains an unmet challenge. Parathyroid hormone 1 receptor (PTH1R) signaling is a key mediator of bone remodeling whereas the regulatory mechanisms of PTH1R signaling in oral bone under homeostatic or inflammatory conditions have not been demonstrated by direct genetic evidence. Here we observed that deletion of PTH1R in Gli1+-progenitors led to increased osteogenesis and osteoclastogenesis.

This paper explores the development of 3D-printed self-sensing Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) by incorporating graphite (G) powder, milled carbon microfiber (MCMF), and chopped carbon microfiber (CCMF) as additives into the UHPC matrix to enhance piezoresistive properties while maintaining workability for 3D printing. Percolation curves were established to identify optimal filler inclusion levels, and a series of compressive tests, including quasi-static cyclic, dynamic cyclic, and monotonic compressive loading, were conducted to evaluate the piezoresistive and mechanical performance of 29 different mix designs. It was found that incorporating G powder improved the conductivity of the UHPC but decreased compressive strength for both mold-cast and 3D-printed specimens.

Hypoparathyroidism (HypoPT) is a rare disease involving the parathyroid glands that is characterized by a reduced secretion or potency of the parathyroid hormone (PTH), which leads to high serum phosphorus levels and low serum calcium levels. The biological characteristics of the temporomandibular joint disc involve complex cellular network in cell identity and extracellular matrix composition to modulate jaw function. In this work, 5 kinds of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazoliumtetrafluoroborate ([Cmim][BF] (n = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10)) ILs were degraded in an ultrasonic zero-valent zinc (ZVZ) and activated carbon (AC) micro-electrolysis system. In order to further study the blast mitigation performance of polyurea and to investigate the protection mechanism and damage characteristics of polyurea-protected structures under contact explosion loads, based on earlier work, this paper investigated the response and energy absorption performance of polyurea under various frequency loads. Qtech T26 blast mitigation polyurea (T26 polyurea) was adopted to protect the reinforced concrete (RC) slab and damage analysis of the post-explosion specimens was carried out at micro and macro levels.
