The plant-specific transcription factor TEOSINTE BRANCHED 1, CYCLOIDEA, and PROLIFERATING4 CELL FACTORS (TCP) plays a crucial role in plant growth and development. However, there have been no studies reporting on the function of strawberry TCP in regulating fruit development. In this study, FvTCP9, a woodland strawberry (Fragaria vesca) TCP gene, was isolated to explore its function in fruit ripening.
