Objectives: To compare the blood vessel visualization with spiral MRA (MRAspiral) and compressed SENSE accelerated Cartesian MRA (MRACS) in moyamoya disease (MMD) patients, with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the reference standard.
Methods: We prospectively collected MRAspiral with different acquisition windows (τ = 4, 6, 10 ms), MRACS and DSA in MMD patients. Contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) was measured in the M1, M2, M3, and M4 segments of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) for each MRA sequence.
Industrial hemp is a crop with a high tolerance and accumulation of lead (Pb). Improving the Pb tolerance and accumulation capacity of industrial hemp is of great scientific and practical importance. This study utilized a pot with soil contaminated with Pb to investigate the differences in Pb tolerance between two industrial hemp varieties, Yunma1 (YM) and Shaanxi Industrial Hemp (SM), under Pb stress.

Hypoxia plays an important role in the progression of atherosclerosis. However, ameliorating hypoxia at atherosclerotic lesions remains a great challenge. To achieve targeted oxygen delivery to atherosclerotic plaques, Lipid 5-doped, platelet membrane-encapsulated magnetic mesoporous organosilicon nanoparticles loaded with perfluoro-15-crown ether (PFCE) (FMMON@PL) were prepared.

For a potential resource to improve healthspan, polysaccharides present unique advantages in terms of side effects and long-term use owing to their low cytotoxicity. In this study, we demonstrate that a glucomannogalactan (PGP) derived from Pleurotus geesteranus extends the healthspan of both naturally senescent and therapy-induced senescence (TIS) mice. Daily treatment of naturally senescent mice with PGP resulted in a reduced accumulation of senescent cells and alleviation of senescence-related parameters, including metabolic dysfunction, underlying lesions in multiple organs, and oxidative damage.

Objective: Ultrasound bone maturity indexes were used to assess whether children had reached their final height.
Methods: The follow-up study was performed between January 2022 and August 2024. Ultrasound bone maturity indexes, including the ossification ratio of the radius, ulna, and femur, and skeletal maturity score (SMS, the sum of the ossification ratio of the above three bones multiplied by 100), were collected from medical records, along with the children's age and height.
'Lanjingling' [China National Plant Variety Protection (CNPVP) 20200389] is the first new nationally registered cultivar of blue honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.) developed by the Northeast Agricultural University for the fresh-fruit market (Zhu et al. 2022).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBlue honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.) has been widely used in food, medicine, health products, cosmetics, materials, and other products. Between September 2022 and September 2023, a leaf spot disease was observed on approximately 20% of blue honeysuckle plants of the 'Lanjingling' cultivar grown in a 0.

Methods: We retrospectively recruited 191 participants for this cross-sectional study, including 113 patients with LC without chemotherapy (Ch-), 38 patients with LC with chemotherapy (Ch+), and 40 healthy controls (HC) matched for age, sex, and education. The gray matter volume (GMV) and cortical properties were compared among the three groups.
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) can enable renewable electricity generation at low levelized costs, subject to the invention of an economically feasible technology for their large-scale fabrication, like vapor deposition. This approach is effective for the fabrication of small area (<1 cm) PSCs, but its scale-up to produce high-efficiency larger area modules has been limited by a severe imbalance between the vapor-solid reaction kinetics and the mass-transport of the volatile ammonium salt precursor. In this study, an amidine-based low-dimensional perovskite is introduced as an intermediate of the solid-vapor reaction to help resolve this limitation.

Cognitive impairment is a common issue among human patients undergoing surgery, yet the neural mechanism causing this impairment remains unidentified. Surgical procedures often lead to glial cell activation and neuronal hypoexcitability, both of which are known to contribute to postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD). However, the role of neuron-glia crosstalk in the pathology of POCD is still unclear.

However, as a small molecule, the SAM layer suffers low thermal tolerance in comparison with other metal oxide or polymers, rendering poor efficiency in solar device with high-temperature (> 160 °C) fabricating procedures. In this study, a dual modification approach involving AlO and F-doped phenyltrimethylammonium bromide (F-PTABr) layers is introduced to enhance the buried interface.

Statement Of Problem: Autonomous dental implant robot systems (ADIRSs) have been marketed for dental implant surgery; however, research on their accuracy is limited.
Purpose: The purpose of this clinical study was to examine the accuracy of an ADIRS.
Material And Methods: Seventy-four participants with partial edentulism underwent implant surgery by using the ADIRS.
Background: The aim of this study is to examine the impact of the Orlistat on glucose levels and glucose tolerance in individuals with prediabetes, as well as assess its efficacy and safety in preventing the progression to diabetes.
Methods: For achieving the appropriate randomized controlled trials, we enrolled the public datas from the following electronic databases: The Cochrane library, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, Wan-Fang, and China Biology Medicine disc. The article focused on the orlistat intervention of glucose tolerance and glycemic status in prediabetic patients.
Perioperative neurocognitive disorders (PND) refer to cognitive deterioration that occurs after surgery or anesthesia. Prolonged isoflurane exposure has potential neurotoxicity and induces PND, but the mechanism is unclear. The glymphatic system clears harmful metabolic waste from the brain.

Identifying early indicators is vital for screening at-risk populations and implementing timely interventions. At present, there is an urgent need for early and sensitive biomarkers to screen individuals at risk of AD.

Poxviruses encode a multisubunit DNA-dependent RNA polymerase (vRNAP) that carries out viral gene expression in the host cytoplasm, which is a viral factor essential to poxvirus replication. Due to its vital role in viral life, vRNAP has emerged as one of the potential drug targets.

Lithium bis(trifluoromethane) sulfonamide (LiTFSI) and oxygen-doped organic semiconductors have been frequently used to achieve record power conversion efficiencies of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, this conventional doping process is time-consuming and leads to poor device stability due to the incorporation of Li ions. Herein, aiming to accelerate the doping process and remove the Li ions, we report an alternative p-doping process by mixing a new small-molecule organic semiconductor, ,,,-tetrakis (4-methoxyphenyl)-9-(4-(octyloxy) phenyl)-9 carbazole-2,7-diamine (labeled OH44) and its preoxidized form OH44(TFSI).

Built-in electric field engineering is an intrinsic driver to facilitate charge separation transport and improve the efficiency of photovoltaic devices. However, the enhancement of the built-in electric field strength is often accompanied by the narrowing of the space charge region, which becomes a key constraint to the performance improvement of the device.

The drug delivery system (DDS) based on self-assembly provides a multi-functional way for drug delivery. In this work, a supramolecular host (L-CD) with targeting function based on a β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) backbone was synthesized with carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX) overexpressed on tumor cells as a target, and the methotrexate prodrug (MTX-SS-Ad) modified by adamantane and disulfide bond was prepared to be used as the guest.
