The presence of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) can adversely affect the anaerobic digestion process, reducing the efficiency of wastewater treatment and methane production. In this study, the addition of exogenous nanoscale zero-valent iron (nZVI) enhanced the efficient treatment of SMX and promoted the energy recovery from antibiotic wastewater. The results showed that the removal of SMX in the reactor pairs with 0.

CPS phase variation is sometime accompanied by genetic variation or down-regulation of particular genes, such as wzb. In addition, CPS prevents biofilm formation and is important to the virulence of V.

NDM-5, a novel mutant of New Delhi Metallo-β-Lactamase-1 (NDM-1), exhibits high hydrolase activity toward carbapenems. Since the genetic backgrounds of clinically isolated carbapenem-resistant are heterogeneous, it is difficult to accurately evaluate the impact of on antibiotic resistance.

Here, we evaluated the effect of autoinducer-2 (AI-2) on adherence of and its regulation mechanism. After determination of the promotion effect of AI-2 on adherence, we investigated which adherence factor was regulated by AI-2, and the results show that AI-2 only limits the formation of pili.

The time-integrated CP asymmetry in the Cabibbo-suppressed decay D^{0}→K^{-}K^{+} is measured using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.7 fb^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. The D^{0} mesons are required to originate from promptly produced D^{*+}→D^{0}π^{+} decays, and the charge of the companion pion is used to determine the flavor of the charm meson at production.

The first simultaneous test of muon-electron universality using B^{+}→K^{+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{0}→K^{*0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} decays is performed, in two ranges of the dilepton invariant-mass squared, q^{2}.
