This was a prospective observational study based on clinical simulation courses taught in 2017 at the IDEhA Simulation Center of Alcorcón Foundation University Hospital. Two courses in metabolic emergencies (MEs) and respiratory emergencies (REs) were offered to primary care physicians all over Spain. View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe case of a patient who developed progressive hemodynamic instability during the late postoperative period following oncologic abdominal surgery is presented. Suspecting the onset of intraabdominal infection, we ordered a computed tomographic scan of the area, on which bilateral adrenal hemorrhage was observed. Adrenal function tests confirmed the presence of adrenal insufficiency.
