Background: Venous ulcers usually present a torpid evolution with a negative impact on patients' quality of life. In primary care, they account for 2.5% of nursing consultations and their treatment represents high costs for national health systems.

Introduction: The consumption of antibiotics for systemic use has been well studied. However, data of topical use in our country are an anecdotal reference in the literature.
