The objective of our paper was to evaluate the effect of honey powder addition on the quality of model chicken products over 14 days of refrigerated storage. Three model chicken product variants were produced: C-control, HP1%, HP2%-with 1 or 2% of honey powder addition. The cooking loss, basic chemical composition, water activity, texture, color, lipid oxidation (TBARS and PDSC), microbiological and sensory quality, and volatile compounds profile were determined.

While minor bone defects may be capable of healing naturally, those of a critical size necessitate intervention through the use of implants or grafts. The utilization of traditional methodologies, encompassing autografts and allografts, is constrained by several factors.

Multitarget-directed ligands (MTDLs) seem to be a promising therapeutic strategy for finding an effective treatment for this disease. For this purpose, new MTDLs were designed and synthesized in three steps by simple and cost-efficient procedures targeting calcium channel blockade, cholinesterase inhibition, and antioxidant activity.

This phenomenon is responsible for difficulties in the treatment of infections. Therefore, the development of new antifungal drugs is an extremely important challenge.

Sausages were produced with 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25% amount additions of walnut paste and without the addition of nuts (control product). It was found that walnut paste, especially when introduced at an amount >15%, was a component that limited thermal losses and significantly modified the characteristics of liver sausages.

The complexity of the pathogenesis of these diseases means that effective forms of treatment are still lacking. Conventional therapy is often associated with increasing tolerance and/or drug resistance.

The composition and production process of KSS sausages complied the requirements of traditional specialities guaranteed. It was found that the use of lower RH of drying air allowed a time reduction of 20%.

Two types of ash, BCA1 and BCA2, were selected as fillers for styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The ashes were produced during the treatment of brown coal at the Bełchatów Power Plant in the years 2017 and 2018.

Delivering HCV care through mental health services may reduce barriers to care and improve outcomes. A nurse-led HCV program was established in a co-located mental health and addiction service in Melbourne, Australia.

Aim: Because interleukin-6 (IL-6) regulates both metabolic and inflammatory processes, we evaluated IL-6 as a potential marker of inflammation and metabolic disturbances in psoriasis.
Material And Methods: This study involved 93 patients with psoriasis, including 31 patients with concurrent PsA.
The occurrence of emerging contaminants, such as: personal care products, medicines, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and their transformation products in the environment is of concern for human health and aquatic ecosystems due to their high persistence, toxicity and potential to bioaccumulation. Among pesticides, the main attention and thus our focus is on neonicotinoids: acetamiprid, clothianidin, imidacloprid, thiacloprid and thiamethoxam, which are widely used classes of insecticides in agriculture. Determining the associated risk to humans and ecosystems from neonicotinoid insecticides requires detailed understanding of their fate and transport in the environment which is complex and includes diverse pathways and processes depending on environmental compartments in which they occur.

The aim of this study was to evaluate dependence of microbiological quality of chicken fillets and profile of volatile compounds in their packages on the applied packaging technique and storage conditions. Samples packaged in either normal atmosphere (AP, air packaging, PVC overwrap), in modified atmosphere with high oxygen content (Hi-O-MAP), or in vacuum (VP) were stored in a cold room or exposed in a display case for 8 days. Quality of the meat was determined on day 1, 3, 6, 7, and 8 of the storage or exposition time.
