Novel riminophenazine derivatives, characterized by the presence of the basic and cumbersome quinolizidinylalkyl and pyrrolizidinylethyl moieties, have been synthesized and tested (Rema test) against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv and H37Ra, and six clinical isolates of Mycobacterium avium and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
