Sodium chromium hexacyanoferrate (NaCrHCF) is obtained here using a facile co-precipitation method at room temperature. The powder was investigated in terms of potential use as a cathode material for aqueous sodium-ion batteries under neutral conditions. The highest achieved discharge capacity of NaCrHCF was around ∼64 mA h g-1 at C/3 current rate.

Perovskite solar cells present one of the most prominent photovoltaic technologies, yet their stability, scalability, and engineering at the molecular level remain challenging. We demonstrate a concept of multifunctional molecular modulation of scalable and operationally stable perovskite solar cells that exhibit exceptional solar-to-electric power conversion efficiencies. The judiciously designed bifunctional molecular modulator SN links the mercapto-tetrazolium (S) and phenylammonium (N) moieties, which passivate the surface defects, while displaying a structure-directing function through interaction with the perovskite that induces the formation of large grain crystals of high electronic quality of the most thermally stable formamidinium cesium mixed lead iodide perovskite formulation.

Controlled mixtures of novel Mg-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) were prepared, with H(+) or K(+) as counterions. A linear relation was found between synthesis pH and K/H ratio in the resultant mixture, establishing the tunability of the synthesis. Upon pyrolysis, these precursor mixtures yield nitrogen-doped, hierarchically porous carbons, which have good activity towards the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) at pH 13.
