Enamel and dentin in Enamel renal syndrome: A confocal Raman microscopy view.

Enamel Renal Syndrome (ERS) is a rare genetic disorder caused by biallelic mutations in Family with sequence similarity 20A () gene encoding the secretory pathway pseudokinase FAM20A. ERS is characterized by hypoplastic amelogenesis imperfecta (AI), impaired tooth eruption, intra-pulpal calcifications, gingival fibromatosis and nephrocalcinosis of various severity. Previous studies showed that the hypoplastic enamel was also hypomineralized but its chemical composition has not been extensively studied.

Electrochemical and optical investigation of dental pulp stem cell adhesion on modified porous silicon scaffolds.

Extensive use of porous silicon (PSi) for tissue engineering is due to its convenient properties as it is both nontoxic and bioresorbable. Moreover, PSi surface modification is an important step to enhance cell adhesion and proliferation. In this work, a combination of optical and electrochemical studies is performed to elaborate a suitable PSi multilayer substrate for cell culture.

Background: Pitolisant (BF2.649) is a nonimidazole histamine 3 receptor antagonist. In previous animal studies, it has been shown that pitolisant might be helpful in chronic seizure treatment of both partial and generalized epilepsies.

A UV-Raman spectrometry method for quality control of anticancer preparations: Results after 18 months of implementation in hospital pharmacy.

In France, chemotherapy preparation units of hospital pharmacy compound cytotoxic infusion bags adapted to each patient. The narrow therapeutic index of these preparations led us to implement qualitative and quantitative control for patients' safety. To this aim, we calibrated an equipment combining UV-vis spectrometry and Raman spectroscopy (QC Prep+) and monitored 14 different molecule-solvent combinations over a 18 months period.
