Background: Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is the most common monogenic autoinflammatory disease, associated with MEFV mutations. FMF patients can experience liver involvement, potentially leading to cirrhosis.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate liver involvement in FMF patients at a French tertiary centre for adult FMF.
Many communities in southwestern Madagascar rely on a mix of foraging, fishing, farming, and herding, with cattle central to local cultures, rituals, and intergenerational wealth transfer. However, no large-scale study has been able to demonstrate the superiority of this choice on hard clinical criteria such as morbimortality.
Methods And Results: This retrospective observational study included all patients who received a primary pacemaker implantation in the indication of complete AVB with underlying sinus rhythm in France, based on the national administrative database between January 2013 and December 2022.
Background: Electrocardiographic screening before subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) implantation is unsuccessful in around 10% of cases. A personalized screening method, by slightly moving the electrodes, to obtain a better R/T ratio has been described to overcome traditional screening failure.
Objective: The objectives of the SIS study were to assess to what extent a personalized screening method improves eligibility for S-ICD implantation and to evaluate the inappropriate shock rate after such screening success.
In this study, the insertion of fluorine into LiFePO was carried out under molecular fluorine F at different temperatures. The reactivity strongly depends on the applied fluorination temperature, leading to very different products: core delithiation of the material is observed at low temperatures with the formation of a LiF shell around particles, while the material decomposes to gradually form a mixture of α-FeF and α-LiFeF iron fluorides at higher temperatures.
