- Skin injuries from exercise can form irregular shapes and become infected due to bacteria trapped in the wounds.
- A new hydrogel made of polyvinyl alcohol and polyhydroxylated fullerenes was developed, which can penetrate these irregular wounds and demonstrated a 240% increase in healing efficiency while also effectively killing bacteria.
- This hydrogel also has excellent electrical conductivity for real-time motion monitoring and can self-heal quickly, making it useful for both treating wounds and monitoring recovery.
