The electroreduction behaviour and determination of cefoperazone using a hanging mercury drop electrode were investigated. Cyclic voltammograms of cefoperazone recorded in universal Britton-Robinson buffers pH 3-6 exhibited a single irreversible cathodic peak. The process was adsorption-controlled.
