An 86-year-old woman being treated for metastatic breast cancer developed severe chest pain at rest during a follow-up visit at a hospital's outpatient oncology clinic. An electrocardiogram showed severe ST-segment elevation. The patient was given sublingual nitroglycerin and was transferred to the emergency department.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous, non-coding RNA transcripts that regulate gene expression. Here, we report 175 putative novel miRNAs identified in uterine cancers profiled by Next Generation Sequencing. Our data indicate that one of these putative miRNAs (BCM-173) is conserved across multiple species and is expressed at levels similar to known human miRNAs.

Immunoproliferative small intestinal disease is a distinctive lymphoproliferative disorder. Among these disorders, it is the only disease associated with a specific and characteristic abnormal protein, and also an identifiable, at least in some patients, early phase with a benign-looking histo-pathologic expression. Whether the disease at this stage is malignant or not is not known.
