Background: The pervasiveness of drug culture has become evident in popular music and social media. Previous research has examined drug abuse content in both social media and popular music; however, to our knowledge, the intersection of drug abuse content in these 2 domains has not been explored. To address the ongoing drug epidemic, we analyzed drug-related content on Twitter (subsequently rebranded X), with a specific focus on lyrics.

Elderly individuals are at higher risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD), especially those with diabetes. Several studies found that the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) determined using creatinine-based equations was not as accurate as that determined using cystatin C-based equations.

A novel dataset specifically tailored for stomata pore instance segmentation, named PhenomicsStomata, was introduced. This dataset posed challenges such as low resolution and image imperfections, prompting the application of advanced preprocessing techniques, including image enhancement using the Lucy-Richardson Algorithm.

Objective: To determine the degree of correlation between magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and knee arthroscopy in diagnosing meniscal injuries in patients with ACL tears.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological disorder derived from autoreactive immune system attacking the protective myelin sheath that surrounds nerves in the central nervous system (CNS). Here, a tolerogenic nanovaccine for generating an antigen-specific immune tolerance for treating MS is proposed. It consisted of a mesoporous polydopamine (mPDA) nanoparticle, characterized by high reactive oxygen species (ROS)-scavenging property, loaded with MS-derived autoantigen.

Design: A single-centre, cross-sectional study.
Setting: An Intensive Care Centre for the Treatment of Critically Ill Patients with COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Agricultural pesticides have historically been a critical tool in controlling pests and diseases, preventing widespread suffering and crop losses that led to catastrophes such as the Great Irish Famine (1845-1852) and the Cotton Boll Weevil Infestation (1915-1916). However, their usage has brought challenges, including resistance development, secondary pest outbreaks, harm to non-target organisms like pollinators, and environmental contamination. In response to these concerns, integrated pest management (IPM) has emerged as a comprehensive approach, emphasizing non-chemical pest control methods such as cultural practices, biological control, and crop rotation, with pesticides as the last resort.

Additionally, this study was aimed at determining the suitable parameters for the process of drying dragon fruit peels. The parameters including the size of slices (2-5 cm), blanching time (10-25 min), ultrasonic time (10-25 min), ultrasonic temperature (45°C-60°C), ultrasonic power (100-250 W), and drying temperature (45°C-60°C) were fully investigated.

Engineered immunotherapies─including cytokines, immune checkpoint blockade, monoclonal antibodies, and CAR-T cells─provide better targeting and future tumor growth prevention. Still, issues such as ineffective activation, immunogenicity, and off-target effects remain primary concerns.

This theory was verified using a minimal three-electronic-state model under the frozen nuclei condition. The model consists of the ground state and either a doubly degenerate electronic excited state or two quasi-degenerate excited states.

The conditions were tolerant of an array of useful functionalities including ester, nitro, cyano, halogen groups. A mechanistic consideration was also provided, as HO was presumably a byproduct.

Sulfur is an essential element for life. Bacteria can obtain sulfur from inorganic sulfate; but in the sulfur starvation-induced response, employ two-component flavin-dependent monooxygenases (TC-FMOs) from the and operons to assimilate sulfur from environmental compounds including alkanesulfonates and dialkylsulfones. Here, we report binding studies of oxidized FMN to enzymes involved within the enzymatic pathway responsible for converting dimethylsulfone (DMSO) to sulfite.

A cross-sectional study was conducted on rice farmers in rural Thai Binh province, Northern Vietnam. A multi-stage random sampling method was used to select 1,171 rice farmers from six communes.

However, the effectiveness of this approach is significantly constrained by the scarce availability of HO in solid tumors. Here, we engineered a nanoplatform based on CaO nanoparticles (NPs) capable of encapsulating curcumin (CUR) and self-supplying HO for synergistic CDT-augmented antitumor immunotherapy (CaO@CUR@ZIF-Cu, denoted as CCZC).

Because of this, the BBB remains a major obstacle for drug delivery to the central nervous system (CNS). In recent years, there has been a focus on developing various modifiable platforms, such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), nanobodies (Nbs), peptides, and nanoparticles, as both therapeutic agents and carriers for targeted drug delivery to treat brain cancers and diseases.

Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 129 HCC patients with tumor diameters greater than 8 cm from January 2010 to December 2021, including 40 patients who received TARE, and 89 patients treated with TACE as primary treatment. Following Propensity Score Matching (PSM), 40 patients from each group were harmonized for baseline characteristics.
Early recognition of severe acute pancreatitis (AP) is crucial for timely intervention. This study aims to evaluate the prognostic accuracy of the Emergency Room Assessment of AP (ERAP) score and compare it with the Bedside Index for Severity in AP (BISAP) score in predicting severe AP, mortality, and persistent multiple organ failure (MOF) in Vietnamese patients. This prospective cohort study included AP patients admitted to Cho Ray Hospital between August 2021 and May 2022.

However, positive MCED test results require confirmation through recommended cancer diagnostic imaging modalities. To address these challenges, we have developed a consultation and work-up protocol for definitive diagnostic results post MCED testing, named SPOT-MAS.

The amount of genomic region data continues to increase. Integrating across diverse genomic region sets requires consensus regions, which enable comparing regions across experiments, but also by necessity lose precision in region definitions. We require methods to assess this loss of precision and build optimal consensus region sets.

Leveraging biomimetic topological morphology, we employed virus-like mesoporous silica nanoparticles (VMSNs) coloaded with antigens and toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) agonists to craft a potent cancer vaccine. Our VMSNs could be efficiently internalized by APCs to a greater extent than their nonviral structured counterparts, thereby promoting the activation of APCs by upregulating the TLR9 pathway and cross-presenting ovalbumin (OVA) epitopes.
