Measurement of Λ_{b}^{0}, Λ_{c}^{+}, and Λ Decay Parameters Using Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-} Decays.

A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-}(h=π,K), followed by Λ_{c}^{+}→Λh^{+} with Λ→pπ^{-} or Λ_{c}^{+}→pK_{S}^{0} decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity (CP) asymmetries are measured, with no significant CP violation observed. For the first time, the Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-} decay parameters are measured.

Antihypertensive drug-related problems in Vietnamese ambulatory care.

Evidence of antihypertensive drug-related problems (aDRP) is limited in Asian ambulatory care. To better detect aDRP without causing alert fatigue, we investigated whether adding more antihypertensive agents was associated with increasing aDRP risk and factors associated with physician acceptance of aDRP correction. We conducted a cross-sectional study targeting ambulatory prescriptions of Vietnamese patients with hypertension who either received standard therapy (using two or fewer medications, SdT) or standard plus add-on therapy (using more than two medications, SdT + add-on).

Lycopodiaceae herb from Vietnam as a promising medicinal source of natural hupezine and novel huperzine-producing endophytic fungi.

Objectives: (1) To evaluate the potential of producing huperzine (Hup) and anticholinesterase (AChE) activities of nine native Lycopodiaceae species collected in Vietnam; (2) Isolation, identification and characterization of a novel fungus producing both HupA and HupB isolated from Lycopodium casuarinoides Spring.

Results: All methanolic extracts of nine plants showed AChE inhibition from 8.55 to 71.

Cost-effectiveness of monitoring and liver cancer surveillance among patients with inactive chronic hepatitis B.

Patients with chronic hepatitis B infection (CHB) have an increased risk for death from liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In the United States, only an estimated 37% of adults with chronic hepatitis B diagnosis without cirrhosis receive monitoring with at least an annual alanine transaminase (ALT) and hepatitis B deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and an estimated 59% receive antiviral treatment when they develop active hepatitis or cirrhosis. A Markov model was used to calculate the costs, health impact and cost-effectiveness of increased monitoring of adults with HBeAg negative inactive or HBeAg positive immune tolerant CHB who have no cirrhosis or significant fibrosis and are not recommended by the current American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) clinical practice guidelines to receive antiviral treatment, and to assess whether the addition of HCC surveillance would be cost-effective.

From 0D to 2D: microwave-assisted synthesis of electrically conductive metal-organic frameworks with controlled morphologies.

Morphology control of electrically conductive metal-organic frameworks (EC-MOFs) can be a powerful means to tune their surface area and carrier transport pathways, particularly beneficial for energy conversion and storage. However, controlling EC-MOFs' morphology is underexplored due to the uncontrollable crystal nucleation and rapid growth kinetics. This work introduces a microwave-assisted strategy to readily synthesize Cu-HHTP (HHTP = 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexahydroxytriphenylene) with controlled morphologies.

Diverse perspectives on supporting the health and wellness of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Background: Persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) are a growing population, frequently living with complex health conditions and unmet healthcare needs. Traditional clinical practice and research methods and measures may require adaptation to reflect their preferences.

Objective: The perspectives of people with IDD, caregivers/partners, and clinicians were obtained to provide insight into factors contributing to the health and wellness of people with IDD.

Disparities in cardiac arrest mortality among patients with chronic kidney disease: A US-based epidemiological analysis.

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) increases cardiac arrest (CA) risk because of renal and cardiovascular interactions.

Methods: Using Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data from 1999 to 2020, we analyzed CKD-related CA mortality and the impact of social vulnerability index (SVI).

Results: We identified 336 494 CKD-related CA deaths, with stable age-adjusted mortality rates over time.

Gastrointestinal bleed mortality disparities in patients with atrial fibrillation: A cross-sectional analysis 1999-2020.

Introduction: Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) is often encountered among patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) due to the use of anticoagulation. This study assesses disparities in GIB-related mortality among decedents with AF in the United States.

Methods: GIB mortality data in patients with AF from 1999 to 2020 was queried from the CDC database.

Some novel concepts of intuitionistic fuzzy directed graphs with application in selecting a suitable place for opening restaurant.

In this manuscript, we first initiate several types of effective arcs of intuitionistic fuzzy directed graphs, followed by discussions on different types of dominations in intuitionistic fuzzy directed graphs and their application in decision-making. The notion of dominations in fuzzy graphs, fuzzy directed graphs, intuitionistic fuzzy graphs and picture fuzzy graphs have been extensively discussed in the literature. Thus, the work presented in our study is two-fold: on one side, it extends the notion of domination in fuzzy directed graphs, while on the other side, it fills the gap existing in the literature.

Post-translational modifications of histone H3 on lysine 9, specifically acetylation (H3K9ac) and tri-methylation (H3K9me3), play a critical role in regulating chromatin accessibility. However, the role of these modifications in lineage segregation in the mammalian blastocyst remains poorly understood. : Primary amebic meningoencephalitis (PAM) caused by is a rare and devastating infection of the central nervous system, often diagnosed late, due to its rapid progression and nonspecific symptoms. We report one of the youngest documented pediatric Vietnamese cases of PAM in a 10-month-old girl from the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. The diagnosis was confirmed through multiplex real-time PCR (MPL-rPCR), microscopy, and sequencing.

The burden of headache disorders among medical students in Vietnam: estimates from a cross-sectional study with a health-care needs assessment.

Background: In our previous study, we demonstrated that headaches are highly prevalent among medical students in Vietnam. In the present study, we provide estimates of the associated symptom burden and impaired participation, utilizing these estimates to assess headache-related healthcare needs within this population.

The utility of renal sonographic measurements in differentiating children with grades 2, 3, and 4 hydronephrosis.

Introduction: Prior analysis of children with grade 3 and 4 congenital hydronephrosis demonstrated that renal medullary pyramidal thickness (PT) is predictive of subsequent pyeloplasty (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.78). This study analyzes the impact of state-level renewable energy policies and incentives on the corporate information environment in the US. It considers these renewable energy policies and incentives as exogenous measures of firm-level renewable energy exposure. The findings indicate that such policies and incentives significantly increase firms' adoption of renewable energy, confirming their suitability as proxies for external shocks.
