The peopling history of North Asia remains largely unexplored due to the limited number of ancient genomes analyzed from this region. Here, we report genome-wide data of ten individuals dated to as early as 7,500 years before present from three regions in North Asia, namely Altai-Sayan, Russian Far East, and the Kamchatka Peninsula. Our analysis reveals a previously undescribed Middle Holocene Siberian gene pool in Neolithic Altai-Sayan hunter-gatherers as a genetic mixture between paleo-Siberian and ancient North Eurasian (ANE) ancestries.

The effect of the pregnant mother's nutrition and the effect of the baby's nutrition during the first-year on the development of allergy and atopic disease in the baby have been studied extensively in recent years. Key recommendations for healthcare bodies in Europe and the United States include: • Allergy prevention in at-risk infants (parent or sibling with allergy): Currently, there is a consensus of healthcare organizations around the world that the recommended exclusive breastfeeding duration is the first 6 months of life for the overall health benefit of the baby. Allergy prevention in non-breastfed infants at risk: There are studies showing that fully hydrolyzed formula can reduce the risk of allergic reactions, especially atopic dermatitis, in high-risk non-breastfed babies.

Introduction: The gold standard for treatment of large and complex renal stones is percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). A 34-year-old man demonstrated rapidly progressive motor neuron disease and, late in his 9-month clinical course, exhibited ophthalmoplegia and dysautonomic symptoms. Neuropathology showed spinal and bulbar motor neuron disease with severe involvement of extraocular motor nuclei, degeneration of spinal sympathetic and bulbar parasympathetic nuclei, striatonigral degeneration, and early olivopontocerebellar atrophy. This case underscores the diversity of multiple system atrophy and demonstrates an unusually rapid course in a young patient.

Two patients with collagen vascular disease (rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma) had extremely poor cosmetic results after breast radiation therapy (RT). The patient with rheumatoid arthritis received 5251 cGy at 210 cGy per day, followed by a 1600 cGy iridium-192 implant boost. Between 8 and 11 months post-RT she had severe breast fibrosis, retraction, and pain that required a mastectomy for relief.

A clinico-psychological examination covered 112 children aged 7-9 years with cerebral paralysis. The authors consider the diagnosis of intellectual disorders using traditional clinico-psychological techniques and an original technique of prediction ("Ugadaika" and Raven's matrices). the latter two methods, when combined with clinical examination, were shown to be highly informative in diagnosing oligophrenia in junior schoolchildren.
