The purpose of the study is to increase the effectiveness of treatment of biliary peritonitis. The studies strongly suggest that in the early stages of the animals biliary peritonitis development against the background of endogenous intoxication in the body occur metabolic and functional disorders. The reason of this disorders is endothelial dysfunction with the violation of synthesis of such biologically active substances as endothelin-1, NO, von Willebrand factor and cytokines in the blood plasma.

In experiments on animals with choleperitonitis were signs of systemic inflammatory response syndrome, "rejuvenation" ofwbc as through the mobilization of neutrophils membrane pool and due to the activation of bone marrow reserve of granulocytes in response to the development of endogenous intoxication. The analysis of the results of the study also showed that animals with choleperitonitis have the change of the neutrophils functional state, which reflected in changes of their cytochemical profile, accompanied by a decrease in total activity and functional reserve of neutrophils, inhibition of nonspecific link of the immune system, manifested by a decrease of the neutrophils number, which are able to absorb and digest microbal cells.

The goal of research is learning the change dynamic of "mature" fibrin in ridneys parenchyma in treatment of experimental bilious peritonitis with sodium hypochlorite. The work was made on 31 mongrel dogs, which were divided into two groups: control and experimental. It was revealed on with 24-hours experimental bilious peritonitis the presence of hyaline cylinders in the lumen of glomerular capillaries, which give a positive reaction to the "mature" fibrin.

The goal of research is to mark the role of the nitrogen oxide in formation of the violations of the vascular thrombocyte link of homeostasis in case of bilius peritonitis. The work was made on 31 mongrel dogs, which were divided into two groups: control and experimental. It's found that the animals with 24-hours bilious peritonitis have reliable increase of the thrombocytes' quantity, the content of nitrogen oxide in serum and the level of generation nitrogen oxide by the thrombocytes relatively the animals from the control group.

There were examined and treated 52 patients with odontogenic phlegmons of maxillofacial region, from them 25 patients received basic therapy and 27 - additionally sodium hypochrorite, rexod and reamberin during 5 days. It was established that combined use of the abovementioned preparations exerted positive influence upon oxidation-reduction processes, promoted tissue hypoxia and endotoxicosis correction.

The paper shows limitations of the traditional indices used to evaluate a patient's chemical status and describes methods for assessment of its uniformity, by using nonparametric chi 2 test, identifying patient subgroups, and comparing a few groups. A new procedure is proposed to present cytochemical findings.

Eighty-three foci of infection were studied in 2 communities of Yerevan (a study group) in which of 279 contact persons, 117 (40.2%) adult family members had fallen ill over 10 years (1995-2005); of them there were 61 (32.5%) persons, with 2 and 3 subjects in 20 and 7 (only type 1 foci) foci, respectively.

A comparative analysis of allelic and genotype distribution of polymorphic markers Val762Ala and Leu54Phe of ADPRT1 gene encoding poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase I has been performed in chronic glomerulonephritis patients compared to normal controls. This has shown a significant difference in the ADPRTI gene polymorphic marker Val762Ala allelic and genotype frequency distribution between chronic glomerulonephritis patients and healthy controls (according to Fisher's exact test). At the same time the allelic and genotype frequency for a polymorphic marker Leu54Phe distribution did not show significant difference between these groups.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy is one of the most optimum study methods to diagnose the diaphragm hiatal hernia (DHH). The decrease in the distance between incisors and dentate line is a commonly accepted DHH criteria. The work objective was to study whether it is possible to use the criterion.

The indices of endogenous intoxication were investigated in 45 dogs. It was shown that the development of 24-hour bile peritonitis was accompanied by pronounced endogenous intoxication with injured cell membrane structure and impaired activity of NO-synthases.

The paper compares the apparent blood viscosity (BV)-shift rate (SR) curves, by using uni- and multidimensional dispersion analysis. The study has indicated that when admitted to hospital, patients with maxillofacial phlegmons have higher BV due to worse blood rheological and coagulative properties. An analysis of the BV-SR curves has shown that there are the most significant differences between the parameters at moderate and high SR while the differences are frequently insignificant at low SR (on admission, on days 3 and 10).

Possibilities of modern methods of maths statistics for comparative evaluation of efficacy of different methods of treatment of patients with suppurative-inflammatory diseases of maxillo-facial region were analyzed and an integral index of treatment efficacy was suggested. Application of the integral index of treatment efficacy showed that intravenous injection of sodium hypochlorite and autohemotherapy with oxidized blood led to the closest apposition of cluster center of these patients to the cluster center of healthy persons. It testifies to greater efficacy of such treatment of the disease in comparison to the other methods.

The effect of systemic immunostimulation with autoblood oxidized with sodium hypochlorite is demonstrated in 79 patients with pyoinflammatory diseases of the retroperitoneal organs. Mechanism of phagocytic reaction to introduction of oxidized autoblood, which consists in extracorporeal activation of lymphocytes and monocytes from peripheral blood with their return to the donor, is outlined. The changes in phagocytic activity of neutrophilic granulocytes indicated that combined treatment of the patients provokes significant shifts in phagocytic activity of the cells: stage I phagocytosis accelerates and becomes less intensive, stage II is characterized by a high activity and in the majority of cases phagocytosis stage III is registered.

Twenty-five patients with pyoinflammatory maxillofacial diseases treated in an inpatient setting in the Regional Dentistry Clinic of Krasnodar and 8 healthy volunteers were examined. After opening and draining of the purulent focus the patients were divided into 2 groups. Group 1 consisted of 21 patients treated by intravenous 0.

The method of indirect electrochemical oxidation was used in treatment of 34 patients with acute purulent peritonitis. Twenty patients treated by the traditional method were taken as a group of comparison. The method consists in the elevation of sensitivity of the polyresistant microflora to antibiotics after the introduction into the abdominal cavity of a warmed to 37 degrees C 0.

Comparative histological studies have been performed on the various arterial conduits available for myocardial revascularization including the inferior epigastric artery which has recently become the focus of intense investigation. In this study, 10 patients with known risk factors for atherosclerotic disease had their inferior epigastric artery harvested and the entire specimen examined for the microscopical presence of atherosclerosis or its precursors. Histopathological findings that have been shown to be theoretically protective against the progression of atherosclerosis were observed.

Under observation there were 174 patients with purulent wounds, 54 of them were treated with application of 0.06% solution of sodium hypochlorite, and 20 patients made up a control group and were treated by traditional methods. It was found that the application of the solution of sodium hypochlorite results in sharp elevation of susceptibility of wound microflora to antibiotics and facilitates more rapid debridement of the wounds and makes the treatment at the hospital 3.
