The effect of hydrostatic pressure up to P = 1.7 GPa on the fluctuation conductivity σ'(T) and pseudogap ∆*(T) in YPrBaCuO single crystal with critical temperature Т = 85.2 K (at P = 0) was investigated.

This study examined children's performance on the Stroop-like animal size test and its relations to parent-reported temperamental effortful control, personality, and common emotional and behavioral problems in a Russian sample of 5-12-year-olds (N = 202). The animal size test demonstrated a Stroop-like effect for accuracy and response time (RT) in both genders and across all ages. Children's performance on the animal size test considerably improved with age such that older children performed more accurately, were faster and their responses were less variable than younger children's responses.

The effect of annealing both in the oxygen atmosphere and at room temperatures on physical properties such as the pseudogap (Δ*(T)) and excess conductivity (σ'(T)) of untwined YBaCuO (YBCO) single crystal with a small deviation from oxygen stoichiometry is studied. It was revealed that as the charge carrier density, n, increases, Т also slightly increases, whereas the temperature of the pseudogap opening, T*, decreases noticeably, which is consistent with the phase diagram (PD) of cuprates. The excess conductivity in the vicinity of T is represented by the Aslamazov-Larkin and Hikami-Larkin fluctuation theories, illustrating the three-dimensional to two-dimensional (i.

This study examined effortful control and its relations to personality, parenting and well-being in a community sample of Russian preschool children (N = 365, 46% girls) using parent-reported effortful control scale from the very short form of the children's behaviour questionnaire, the inventory of child individual differences-short version, the Alabama parenting questionnaire-preschool revision, the self-reporting questionnaire, and parent and teacher reports on the strengths and difficulties questionnaire. The findings confirmed the four-factor structure of effortful control, including inhibitory control, attentional control, low-intensity pleasure and perceptual sensitivity. Girls demonstrated higher scores than boys on effortful control, perceptual sensitivity, inhibitory control and low-intensity pleasure.

Background: Exosomes and other types of extracellular vesicles present an important component of circulating plasma. Exosomes released by endothelial and blood cells account for majority of plasma exosomal population; exosomes secreted by other cells might cross tissue-plasma barrier and reach circulating plasma as well. Definitely, exosomes of different cellular origins are different by content and function.

Purpose: The interaction between malignant cells and surrounding healthy tissues is a critical factor in the metastatic progression of breast cancer (BC). Extracellular vesicles, especially exosomes, are known to be involved in inter-cellular communication during cancer progression. In the study presented herein, we aimed to evaluate the role of circulating plasma exosomes in the metastatic dissemination of BC and to investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms of this phenomenon.

We have previously developed an approach, where two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) was used, followed by sectional analysis of the whole gel using high-resolution nano-liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (ESI LC-MS/MS). In this study, we applied this approach on the panoramic analysis of proteins and their proteoforms from normal (liver) and cancer (HepG2) cells. This allowed us to detect, in a single proteome, about 20,000 proteoforms coded by more than 4000 genes.

A method for increasing the productivity of ESI LC-MS/MS (electrospray ionization-liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry) was proposed and applied. After IF (isoelectric focusing) of the sample using IPG (immobilized pH gradient) strip, the strip was cut to sections, and every section was treated according to trypsinolysis protocol for MS/MS analysis. The peptides produced were further analyzed by ESI LC-MS/MS.

Glycosaminoglycanes content was decreased in liver, brain and skin of white rats during ageing due to the decrease of non-sulfated fraction. Sulfated glycosaminoglycanes synthesis intensity was decreased too. These pathochemical processes were more expressed in skin and liver than in brain.

Postmortem skin samples of 50 women aged from 15 to 90 years were analysed. Protein and DNA levels were stable and rather age-independent. Glycosaminoglycane (GAG) level decreased during ageing according to linear regression equation: Age = 100.

Dynamics of distribution of 3[H]-labeled himantane (N-(adamant-2-yl) hexamethyleneimine hydrochloride), a new drug possessing antiparkinsonian and immunostimulant activity, was monitored over a time period of 10 days after single injection (10 mg/kg, i.v.) in rats.

Retardation of development of the structures of mesenteric lymph nodes (maximum at first 1-2 wks) was discovered in rats treated with indometacin. It was dependent on the doze of preparations. Mast cells and eosinophilic reactions associated with normalization of the stroma structure and functional activity of lymph nodes nerve structures took place in the lymph node substance as adaptive processes on the background of lymphocytopenia and incomplete development of the lymph node B zone by weeks 2-3.

Cortical and dorsal column nuclei somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP) induced by electrical stimulation of the median nerve were recorded and analysed in 16 healthy volunteers practising transcendental meditation (TM) for two years. The records were performed before and during TM. The SEP changes during TM consisted of an increase in early SEP components amplitude.

Immunoregulatory lymphocytes of SD2-, SD4-, SD8- and SD2-phenotypes have been assayed using monoclonal antibodies in peripheral blood of infertile women with external genital endometriosis and tubal-peritoneal infertility. The tested cells did not markedly differ from those in control fertile patients. Serum concentrations of immunoglobulin M were increased in women with endometriosis.

The effect of light 12 Hz stimulus on the productivity of operator's functions and intercentral integration of neocortical systems was studied in terms of biopotential space-time parameters. EEGs from 8 neocortical areas were recorded in 18 subjects playing an electronic game with a computer (simulated operator's function). A microcomputer Electronika-60 was used for automatic analysis of EEG (spectral-coherent analysis) and operator's efficiency.
