Based on the results of a comprehensive study of 35 people aged from 19 to 52 years, among them 20 women and 15 men with celiac disease features of their physiological status were studied, reflecting the severity of the disease and quality of life. The diagnosis was based on the clinical and anamnestic data, endoscopy, histomorphological, immunological and genetic exams. Psychophysiological analysis showed that in celiac disease is characterized by the formation reactions with anxiety, anxiety-phobic, neurotic, affective, and hypochondriacal symptoms.

Fluctuations of the thiol disulfide system were shown to be interrelated with changes in the ECG indices. Trimetazidine since it has antioxidant properties was found to be effective in patients with low thiol disulfide ratios. A single dose of 0.

Changes of the thiol-disulfide balance and electrocardiographic indices were studied in ischemic heart disease patients undergoing operation stress. It was shown that the operative procedure resulted in a shift of the redox state to oxidation in the thiol-disulfide system, especially in its protein part. The revealed correlation between the value of the thiol-disulfide ratio and ECG changes attest to the significance of the state of the blood thiol-disulfide system for the assessment of the degree of ischemic alterations in the myocardium.

Studies of the influence of the UV irradiation of autologous blood (UVIAB) and hemosorption (HS) upon changes of indices of endogenous intoxication in patients with the syndrome of polyorganic insufficiency (SPOI) have shown that the isolated (without HS) UVIAB reduces toxemia and prevents the development of SPOI in patients without pronounced alterations of microcirculation. Using the UV irradiation of autoblood in patients with clinically marked alterations of the peripheral blood circulation increases toxemia at the expense of release of toxic products from the "disclosed" system of microcirculation. HS with the simultaneous taking the blood from the subclavian vein and abdominal aorta with using "Actilen" and return of the mixed blood into the peripheral artery interrupts and relieves the course of SPOI.

Bronchial asthma is considered to be a psychosomatic disease in the genesis of which the functional instability of the subcortical brain structures and the autonomic nervous system regulating the cardio-respiratory complex play the principal role. The structural interrelationship of the values of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems in children with bronchial asthma in the period of remission was studied. Disorders were revealed in the intersystemic regulation of the functions in relatively normal functioning of each separate system.

Methods of intravascular impedance plethysmography when used in the clinic during catheterization of heart cavities can reliably diagnose coarctation of the aorta and incompetence of its valves. The intravascular impedance plethysmography is a substantial supplement to the arsenal of methods of examination in the angiographic unit.

The authors have developed a variant of microfilters for extracorporal perfusions possessing the following functional characteristics: square surface of filtrating elements 150 cm2, volume of filling 80 ml, efficiency not less than 6 1/min, filtration of micro-aggregates 30 mkm and more in 70-98%. The microfilter may be used in the arterial line and in the line of the cardiotomic suction.

Study of oscillations of the animal limb's electrical impedance in conditions of limb perfusion with autologous blood and homogenous solutions whose electrical conductivity is practically independent of the linear blood flow velocity, revealed that velocity changes of the blood electrical conductivity exerted practically no effect on formation of the pulse waves of the body part's electrical impedance.

Parameters of hemodynamics and gas exchange were studied in experiments in 25 dogs having experimental microembolism of the lungs. Microembolism was found to result in an abrupt increase of the pulmonary arterial pressure and resistance of lungs, stable hypoxemia with phenomena of metabolic acidosis, incrsed intrapulmonary shunting and the ventilation/perfusion ratio. The mechanisms of hemodynamic and respiratory rearrangement are discussed.

The tensometric method of the estimation of microaggregates in the blood and its preparations was used. It was shown that the process of aggregation of blood formed elements was dependent on the preservative content, period of storage and individual features of the donor. The filtration rate of the soviet and foreign microfilters was found to depend upon the initial content of microaggregates in the blood.
