The steady rise of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB), which renders standard therapy regimens ineffective, necessitates the development of innovative treatment approaches. Immunotherapeutic vaccines have the potential to effectively regulate the anti-TB immune response and enhance the efficacy of anti-TB treatment. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the potency of the mucosal vector vaccine TB/FLU-06E as part of a complex treatment regimen for drug-susceptible (DS) or drug-resistant (DR) tuberculosis in C57BL/6 mice.

Sjögren's syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by lymphocytic infiltration of various organs with a wide frequency of pulmonary involvement. In recent years, the application of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) has been recognized as a promising method for treatment of different diseases associated with inflammation and sclerosis, which include nephrotuberculosis. The aim of our study is to investigate the effectiveness of MSCs in the complex therapy of experimental rabbit kidney tuberculosis and to evaluate the effect of cell therapy on the reparative processes. Methods: To simulate kidney tuberculosis, a suspension of the standard strain Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (10 CFU) was used, which was injected into the cortical layer of the lower pole parenchyma of the left kidney under ultrasound control in rabbits.
