Purpose: To analyze the outcomes of the iStent inject in a real-world clinical setting as a standalone procedure to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in open-angle glaucoma.
Materials And Methods: Patients with open-angle glaucoma having undergone iStent inject insertion without concurrent cataract extraction were included in this multicenter observational real-world study in Australia. Patient data was entered into the Fight Glaucoma Blindness! Registry.
Background: To analyse ophthalmic presentations to an outer metropolitan and a rural emergency department (ED) during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
Methods: A retrospective comparative study of ophthalmic emergency presentations to Campbelltown Hospital (fifth busiest NSW metropolitan ED; population 310,000) and Bowral and District Hospital (rural ED; population 48,000) before and during COVID-19 was conducted. Patient demographics, triage category, referral source, diagnosis, length of stay, departure status, and follow-up location were assessed from coding data between March 1st to May 31st in 2019 and 2020, corresponding to the peak case numbers and restrictions during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in NSW.
A 14-year-old boy presented with a 6-month history of bilateral slowly enlarging conjunctival lesions. There was no associated ocular or systemic symptomatology. Examination revealed bilateral salmon-coloured nodular lesions of the bulbar conjunctiva.

Methods: The intraocular pressure (IOP) of 69 patients (31 men, 38 women) involving 137 eyes was measured using both the Tonosafe disposable and the Goldmann tono-meter head. The average age of patients was 66.
