[Knowledge of human papilloma virus-associated disease among women in general practice].

Introduction: Cervical cancer is caused by oncogenic human papilloma virus (HPV) serotypes. Types 16 and 18 are responsible for approximately 75% of all cases in Europe. Low-malignant serotypes like HPV 6 and 11 are the cause of approximately 90% of all cases of conyloma accuminata.

Regular interval preventive pain relief compared with on demand treatment after hysterectomy.

Eighty otherwise healthy women, aged 22-64 years, admitted for elective hysterectomy were studied in a prospective randomized trial. The aim was to compare two different postoperative pain relief schedules--one with the analgesic given at regular intervals and the other with the analgesic given on demand. All the patients had a neuroleptanaesthesia with fentanyl.
