Flash light-emitting diodes (LEDs) of modern mobile phones lack red and cyan spectral parts, however, the color gamut of their respective displays has increased in recent years. The influence of this discrepancy on the color reproduction of smart phones is investigated in this paper. Based on the CIECAM02 color appearance model, a metric is introduced to judge color reproduction of mobile phones under flash LED illumination.

The specific recognition by proteins of the 5' and 3' ends of RNA molecules is an important facet of many cellular processes, including RNA maturation, regulation of translation initiation and control of gene expression by degradation and RNA interference. The aim of this review is to survey recent structural analyses of protein binding domains that specifically bind to the extreme 5' or 3' termini of RNA. For reasons of space and because their interactions are also governed by catalytic considerations, we have excluded enzymes that modify the 5' and 3' extremities of RNA.

Recently it has emerged that this heterodimer also has a counterpart in the other eukaryotic RNA polymerases: in particular two subunits of RNA polymerase I (A14 and A43) display genetic and biochemical characteristics that are similar to those of the RPB4 and RPB7 subunits, despite the fact that only A43 shows some sequence homology to RPB7. We demonstrate that the sequence of A14 strongly suggests the presence of a HRDC domain, a motif that is found at the C-terminus of a number of helicases and RNases.
