(1) Background: Alternative antibiotics are needed to treat infective endocarditis (IE) caused by non-/non- enterococci; we aimed to assess the in vitro activity of ampicillin plus ceftriaxone (AMP + CTR) against these enterococci and to describe its clinical efficacy in IE cases. (2) Methods: Time-kill curves with standard (ISI) and high (IHI) inocula were performed to test isolates [3 (ECAS) and 1 (EGALL)] and non- isolates [1 (EDUR), 1 (EHIR) and 1 (ERAF)]. The use of measurable residual disease (MRD) as a biomarker for prognostication, risk stratification, and therapeutic decision-making in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is gaining prominence. MRD monitoring for NPM1-mutated and core-binding factor AML using PCR techniques is well-established for assessing disease after intensive chemotherapy. AML with persistent FLT3-ITD MRD post-intensive chemotherapy and pre-allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (pre-allo-HCT) is associated with an increased risk of relapse and lower survival.

During the past 6 decades, there have been numerous changes in prosthetic valve endocarditis (PVE), currently affecting an older population and increasing in incidence in patients with transcatheter-implanted valves. Significant microbiologic (molecular biology) and imaging diagnostic (fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography) advances have been incorporated into the 2023 Duke-International Society for Cardiovascular Infectious Diseases infective endocarditis diagnostic criteria, thus increasing the diagnostic sensitivity for PVE without sacrificing specificity in validation studies. PVE is a life-threatening disease requiring management by multidisciplinary endocarditis teams in cardiac centers to improve outcomes.

Purpose: The recently introduced tethered DROP-IN gamma probe has revolutionized the way robotic radioguided surgery is performed, fully exploiting the nature of steerable robotic instruments. Aplastic anemia (AA) is a rare bone marrow failure disorder that is treated with either allogeneic stem cell transplant or immunosuppressive therapy (IST) consisting of antithymocyte globulin (ATG), cyclosporine (CSA), and eltrombopag. Introduction: Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS), which occurs spontaneously or in response to anticancer treatment, results in the release of intracellular potassium, phosphorus, and nucleic acids into the bloodstream, which results in secondary clinical complications that may be fatal.
