Comparison of methods comprehension was done with intraoral roentgenography, orthopantomography (OPG), cone-beam computer tomography (CBCT) on the devices with optical amplifier of roentgenologic image (OARI) and sensor resolution (SR) 2 pair of lines per mm and without OARI with SR 2.5 pair of lines per mm. There were used extracted earlier teeth with adequate root canal obturation.

Clinical experience of preoperative computer modeling of dental implant intervention is described. By studying the ergonomics and the accuracy a proper stereolithography guide is selected. This method allows performing a complex preoperative virtual study of dental implants placement depending on future prosthodontics restoration in difficult clinical cases.

Endodontic treatment quality of different teeth groups was analysed according to computer tomography data. 1000 dental root canals of 521 teeth of 115 patients of different age groups were studied. The study results testified to low level of endodontic treatment quality.

Results of the study testified to the fact that on intraoral X-Ray pictures and orthopantomograms the structure of root canals of all teeth groups were not reflected objectively. The errors of methodical techniques led to considerable loss of their diagnostic comprehension. Conus computer tomography (CCTG) in comparison with spiral computer tomography was more informative and significant method for topographic study of root canals of different teeth groups determinant lower doses of patient's irradiation.

The paper deals with the X-ray manifestations of different maxillary pathological processes accompanied by the cavitary symptom. Analysis of X-ray films of different types in 250 patients has indicated that the nature of cavitary mass can be determined in many cases.

There are discussed possibilities of spiral computer tomography use in cases of defects and deformations of face bones and soft tissues elimination.

The paper describes the evolution and consequences of different modes of eliminating orbital bottom defects and deformities that develop in posttraumatic deformities due to bone fractures of the facial mid-skeleton. Spiral computed tomography of this portion of the facial skeleton has demonstrated that the optimum results of restoration of the orbital bottom and those of elimination of eyeball displacement give the use of osteoplasty with a split parietal bone graft.

The paper presents a procedure for examining patients with posttraumatic deformities of the middle and upper third of the facial skull on a spiral computed tomograph and the schemes for estimating the size of enophthalmos, which permit elimination of eyeball recession.

The paper presents a procedure for spiral computed tomography that may be used if there are some difficulties in the diagnosis of impaction of different teeth. Examples art used to show the capacities of specified diagnosis in solving the problems and difficulties in surgical or orthodontic treatment.

Studies of the role of the C3/C4 propriospinal system of spinal cord interneurons in the control of fine movements and the processes compensating motor deficiency after lesioning of the cortico- and rubrospinal tracts at the level of segments C2 and C5 were studied in cats. These experiments showed that after lesioning of the cortico- and rubrospinal tracts at the level of C5, the C3/C4 propriospinal system played a key role in recovery processes, while after lesioning at the level of C2, the leading role was played by ipsilateral tracts in the ventral part of the spinal cord. In addition, the propriospinal system demonstrated a significant level of plasticity and was able to provide complete control of a number of fine voluntary movements.

The possibilities of the use of carbon implants in cases of any defects of any part of facial skeleton and soft tissues of both inherent and acquired nature were studied. Taking into account X-ray transparency of carbon implants the experiment was carried out to make the material X-ray contrast when using the addition of powdered metallic boron in the range of concentrations 8-12%. It was successful and the samples were visualized.

The paper considers whether carbonic materials whose contrasting is achieved when they contain 8-12% of metallic boron power may be applied to restore bone defects of the facial skull. Implants of this composition were employed to operate on 4 patients with different defects of the facial skull. A three-projection of SCT image obtained in the "SOFT" mode was used as a way of registration.

Cortico- and rubrospinal tracts play an important role in controlling voluntary movements. Transection of these tracts in different spinal cord layers gives different effects that may be explained by the influence of different spinal cord neuronal networks. The aim of the present work was to study the role of C3/C4 propriospinal system in movement control and processes of motor recovery.

A method for simultaneous surgical treatment of various types of injuries of bone and soft-tissue structures of the zygomatico-naso-orbital area is presented. Special attention is paid to repair of posttraumatic eno- and hypophthalmos. A total of 42 patients were operated on by the proposed methods at Central Institute of Dentistry in 1998-2002.

The paper deals with the possibilities of using the data of X-ray studies--computed tomography and orthopantomography--in planning the surgical stage of implantation for preprosthetic correction of the upper denture. Examination of 23 patients has yielded the data showing what estimation of the size of an image obtained by the "Denta Scan" programme provides.

The paper shows how volumetric reconstruction of jaw images can be used and analyzes the plots of planar characteristics of cortical plates in different forms of periodontitis. Clinical and X-ray parallels in this disease are discussed.

The change in the neuronal activity of the sensorimotor area of the cerebral cortex of the cat was investigated in awake animals as a function of the level of differentiation of the components of a simultaneous heteromodal complex stimulus. Two groups of neurons in the sensorimotor cortex were distinguished on the basis of the character of this relationship and a number of other parameters. It was shown that the parameters of the reactions of all neurons recorded to the positive conditional stimulus following the consolidation of the conditioned motoric reaction are established first.

On alert animals the change was studied of the neuronal activity of the sensorimotor cortical area of cats brain in dependence on the level of differentiation of the components of simultaneous heteromodal complex stimulus. According to the character of this dependence and a number of other parameters two groups of neurones were singled out in the sensorimotor cortex. It was shown that parameters of reactions of all recorded neurones of the sensorimotor cortex to the positive conditioned signal were the first established after consolidation of the animal conditioned motor activity.

On alert cats the change was studied of the activity of the neurones of the sensorimotor cortical area at instrumental reaction to a simultaneous heteromodal complex stimulus. It was shown that in the projection of distal limb areas a group could be singled out of neurones, which changed their activity in one direction depending on the character of presented signals. In these cells an increase of discharges frequency was observed in response to complex stimulus, consisting of light and sound signals.
