The prevalence of obesity in childhood and adolescence tends to increase, and its presence is associated with a change in the quality of life (QOL). Nevertheless, the question of the influence of obesity on the QОL of Russian children in preschool years remains unexplored, while this age refers to the period of obesity manifestation. Purpose of the study - to examine the quality of life of preschool children with obesity and determine the optimal methods of disease preventing.

Workers of titanium and magnesium production, under occupational exposure to complex of chemical (chlorine, hydrochloride, sulfur dioxide) and physical factors (industrial noise, work hardiness), have arterial hypertension as occupationally related disease, when length of service over 15 years (EF = 71,5%), and nasopharyngitis for length of service over 10 years (EF = 65%). Arterial hypertension risk is mostly associated with increased industrial noise level (F = 1621; R2 0.95; p < 0,001; noise 70,1 dB).

The article deals with results of assessing risk of occupationally related hypertension among workers of sylvinitedressing works, with individual sensitivity consideration. Epidemiologic study proved correlation between occupational exposure to noise over 83 dB and hypertension and its predictors - increased activity of serum lipoprotein and homocystein. The studies determined an indicator of the workers' increased sensitivity to arterial hypertension development and to changes in parameters of disordered vascular tone regulation (increased activity of serum lipoprotein and homocystein) under exposure to noise - CT genotype of MTHFR gene.

In the article there are presented results of a study of indices of ioduria in preschool kids and school children of the city of Mezhdurechensk (south of the Kemerovo region). 411 children aged of 3-17 years participated in the study. The median of ioduria on preschooler kids was 97,0 pg/l, and the proportion of urine samples with iodine levels less than 50 pg/l - 1,0%.

Increased interest in measuring radionuclides and radon concentrations in fly ash (FA), cement and other components of building products is due to the concern about health hazards of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). The paper focuses on studying the influence of FA on radon exhalation rate (radon flux) from cementitious materials. In the previous part of the paper the state of the art was presented, and the experiments for testing raw materials, Portland cement and coal fly ash, were described.

Increased interest in measuring radionuclides and radon concentrations in fly ash, cement and other components of building products is due to the concern of health hazards of naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM). The current work focuses on studying the influence of fly ash (FA) on radon-exhalation rate (radon flux) from cementitious materials. The tests were carried out on cement paste specimens with different FA contents.

This work presents a technique for determining the radon (222Rn) diffusion length in porous materials. A mathematical model that describes the process of radon diffusion in a closed chamber, divided into two sections by a porous building material, is proposed. The derived relations allow evaluating the radon diffusion length in the material from measurements of the radon concentrations in the two sections.

To establish the indications to classical surgical correction and roentgenoendovascular occlusion (REO) of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) results of treatment of patients with PDA were compared. Immediate results of treatment of 209 patients with PDA were analyzed. 110 patients underwent classical surgical operations which were performed successfully in 109 (99%) patients.

Lipid peroxidation, cell stability, lipid spectrum, conjunctival microcirculation, levels of ceruloplasmin and myoglobin were studied in 107 males with ischemic heart disease before and after coronaroangiography by M. Judkins (CAG). It was found that CAG provokes oxidative stress, promotes membranodestructive processes, dyslipidemia and circulation disorders in the bulbar conjunctive.

The influence of the isocalorific rations with decreased (10%) or increased (32%) protein content, and addition of cystine, methionine and glutamic acid (100 mg/kg) on metabolism of vitamins B2, B6 and PP was studied in rats under conditions of experimental chronic aniline intoxication. Increased protein amount in the diet and addition of amino acids sharply raise vitamin B6 requirement; vitamin B2 requirement grows with the increase of protein fraction and methionine and glutamic acid addition. Providing with vitamin PP under these conditions rises.
