Belzutifan is a new HIF-α inhibitor mainly used in two different indications: von Hippel-Lindau syndrome-associated renal cell carcinoma, haemangioblastomas and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, as well as sporadic advanced pre-treated renal cell carcinoma. Although efficacy has been demonstrated in phase II and III studies, belzutifan is still not approved in many countries. In addition, von Hippel-Lindau syndrome is a rare disease.

Introduction: BRAF mutations are the most common driver mutation in cutaneous melanoma, present in 40% of cases. Rationally designed BRAF targeted therapy (TT) has been developed in response to this, and alongside immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), forms the backbone of systemic therapy options for BRAF-mutant melanoma. Various therapeutic approaches have been studied in the neoadjuvant, adjuvant and advanced settings, and there is a wealth of information to guide clinicians managing these patients.

Many factors influence the treatment decision: disease- and patient-specific criteria, the increasingly complex treatment landscape, market authorization and drug availability, financial aspects, and personal treatment expertise. In the domain of genitourinary cancers, particularly prostate cancer, decision-making is challenging.

Statement Of Problem: How resin-based material and a light-activation protocol influence the mechanical properties of materials used to cement glass fiber post-and-cores in endodontically treated teeth is unclear.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the influence of immediate or 5-minute delayed light activation on the mechanical properties of dual-polymerizing resin cements and dual-polymerizing resin-core materials compared with bulk-fill composite resins.
Material And Methods: Nine resin-based materials were tested: 4 dual-polymerizing resin-core materials, (Allcem Core; FGM, LuxaCore Z; DMG, Rebilda DC; VOCO, and (Clearfil DC Core Plus; KURARAY), 3 dual-polymerizing resin cements, (RelyX Universal; 3M ESPE, RelyX U200; 3M ESPE, and Allcem Dual; FGM), and 2 bulk-fill composite resins, (Opus Bulk Fill APS; FGM, and Filtek One Bulk Fill; 3M ESPE).
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the optical and mechanical performance of two single-shade resin-based composites (RBCs) compared to those of a conventional RBC for restoring posterior teeth.
Methods: Two single-shade RBCs, Omnichroma (Tukoyama) and Vittra Unique APS (FGM), and a conventional RBC, Filtek Z350XT shade A2 (3M Oral Care), were evaluated in this study. The optical shade-matching performance was measured using a spectrophotometer.
Purpose: In some patients with prostate cancer, bone marrow carcinomatosis develops later in the course of the disease, which has a poor prognosis. These are often heavily pretreated patients in the castration-resistant situation for whom there are no other therapeutic options, because either all available systemic therapies have already been used or the use of one is not possible due to the cytopenias associated with bone marrow carcinomatosis. In our literature search, there are no data on this treatment in the setting available, especially no clinical trial or even randomized data.

However, the large number of GPCR genes and their substantial functional redundancy make it challenging to systematically dissect GPCR functions in vivo. Here, we employ a CRISPR/Cas9-based approach, disrupting 1654 GPCR-encoding genes in 284 strains and mutating 152 neuropeptide-encoding genes in 38 strains in C.

A novel polyurethane adhesive derived from a simple mixture of castor oil (CO) and crude glycerin (CG) holds promise as it reduces reliance on fossil fuels and harnesses renewable resources, making it environmentally friendly. Simple CO/CG mixtures, adjusted at three different weight fractions, were used as bio-based polyester polyols to produce polyurethane adhesive for wood bonding.

Methods: Central incisor-shaped specimens 12 mm long, 9 mm wide, and 1.5 mm thick were made from 2 RBCs that use different photoinitiators: Tetric N-Ceram (Ivoclar Vivadent) - and Vittra APS (FGM), both A2E shade.
Objectives: This study evaluated the Knoop hardness (KH, N/mm2) and degree of conversion (DC, %) on the margins of light-cured resin cements with different photoinitiators using a single light-curing unit (LCU) with two heads (mono- and multiwave).
Methods And Materials: Three types of resin cements were used with different photoinitiators: Megalink Esthetic (Odontomega, São Paulo, Brazil) with a camphorquinone photoinitiator; Allcem Veneer (FGM, Joinville, Brazil) with the Advanced Polymerization system (APS), and Variolink Esthetic LC (Ivoclar Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein). Thirty samples were collected and divided into six groups (n=5 each).
Background/aim: Removing resin composites used for bonding dental trauma splints may result in irreversible damage to the enamel. This in vitro study evaluated the influence of additional violet illumination and different bur types on damage caused to tooth enamel.
Materials And Methods: Fifteen maxillary models with four bovine incisor teeth were prepared.
Despite the drastic decrease in the incidence of Chagas disease in Brazil, past cases still greatly impact health services in the country. Thus, this study aimed to characterize Chagas disease cases regarding their cardiac staging and death prognosis and, based on that, to propose primary healthcare (PHC) case follow-ups. This is a cross-sectional study based on secondary data from the medical records of patients with chronic Chagas cardiomyopathy (CCC).

Aims: This study evaluated the temporal and spatial distribution of mortality rates (1979-2019) and hospital admissions (1995-2019) for pneumoconiosis in Brazil.
Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is a complex neurodegenerative disorder associated in some instances with dyshomeostasis of redox-active metal ions, such as copper and iron. In this work, we investigated whether the conjugation of various aromatic amines would improve the pharmacological efficacy of the iron chelator desferrioxamine (DFO). Conjugates of DFO with aniline (DFOANI), benzosulfanylamide (DFOBAN), 2-naphthalenamine (DFONAF) and 6-quinolinamine (DFOQUN) were obtained and their properties examined.

In this study, we evaluated the sediment quality in harbor areas of Mucuripe bay, a semi-arid ecosystem located in Ceará state (Brazil), which is subject to dredging activities. A sampling survey was conducted right after dredging operations and data compared to another survey performed prior dredging.

Method: We searched PubMed, Scientific Electronic Library Online, and Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information from 1 January 2020 to 4 May 2020. We selected randomized trials, observational studies, case series or case reports, and research letters of children ages birth to 18 years with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19.
Few test organisms are employed for sediment toxicity assessments in Tropical regions, including Brazil. We assessed the ability of the clam to respond to contamination in sediment bioassays using dredging materials of a semi-arid region (Ceará State, NE Brazil), with attention to sublethal responses. Sediments were collected during and after dredging (survey 1 and 2, respectively) and animals exposed in laboratory over 28 days, with responses measured at 7 days.

However, one strong assumption of these schemes is that all batches have equal duration and are synchronized, which is often not satisfied in practice. To overcome that, dynamic time warping (DTW) methods may be used to synchronize stages and align the duration of batches.
